dodge cancel? the proper terminology is dash cancel and you shouldn't hold aim up but hold down, holding down on the ground after hitting someone then pressing your dodge key will dash instead of chase dodging, you then combo this with the light attacks on greatsword so lets say side light opener > dash (hold down + dodge) > neutral light opener

you need to dash or chase dodge to do two openers in a row on gs but dashing makes the window between them tighter

imo i wouldn't exactly do the combo like that anyway, its a lot more consistent to do nlight/slight openers into dlight bridge then > dash nlight/slight opener again, since you're already holding down the input is easier and dlight bridge has a better setup angle then nlight bridge (tho both are useful)

gs has three moves a starting move a bridge and a finisher you can't uses the same move twice like dlight dlight you won't get the bride but you can uses dligth nlight to get the bridge

so on greatsword it has 3 different types of moves:
openers - basically the first attack you do, your normal slight, dlight and nlight

bridge - these are the attacks you do after the opener (you do not dash for this as that "cancels" and lets you do two openers in a row") these being slight, dlight and nlight bridge. if you want an example of how they look do a normal slight then input another DIFFERENT attack right after eg. slight > dlight. the dlight will be different to a normal dlight without any moves before it (instead of a wide sweep you kinda push the sword into them vertically). If you do the same attack twice in a row eg. nlight > nlight you'll skip the bridge entirely and it'll do opener > finisher.

finisher - these are the final 3 kind of attacks of greatsword and can happen multiple ways, the goal is to use these at the end of a combo as they have the force to kill:

1. you used a bridge attack and directly after pressed slight/nlight or dlight, eg. slight opener > dlight bridge > slight finisher.
2. you used the same directional attack after the opener eg. slight opener > slight finisher.
3. you gravity cancelled (spot dodge in air then attack) a light attack, on greatsword your GC light attacks are instantly finishers eg. GC > dlight (should be a spin move).

you can also use the aerial attacks as openers if you land on the ground with them, for example jump and dair as you land on the stage, you'll stick your sword in the ground and can go straight into a bridge (slight, nlight) or finisher (dlight).

generally a really safe unjumpable 4 hit string that pros use is slight opener > dash > nlight opener > dlight bridge > slight finisher (since it has the most force without being jumpable) which is pretty simple but good damage

generally tho dont focus on trying to make a combo "infinite" if your opponent isn't dodging then you're not gonna need an over the top combo to beat them with, more importantly i'd work on that little 4 piece i mentioned as if your opponent has no dodge (thats when greatsword extended strings are best) then thats consistent, unjumpable, high force damage that you can rely on. just as important is being able to read dodges (especially out of the 3 openers as good players will recognise they can dodge after these before the bridge comes out) which is why most people will go for opener > opener as nlight and slight openers are really consistent for reading dodges eg. slight opener > nlight opener (possibly reversed) is a great read reversed and forward because it covers dodge up (generally the way good players will go as greatsword on the ground when you have no dodge is asking for death) as well as other common dodges

its not quite as effective now but you can basically 50/50 your oppenents dodges out of slight with nlight opener depending if you reverse it or not as one covers almost half the dodge directions and the other covers the other half

tho imo instead of setting the bot to dodge randomly (gold players really aren't doing that) instead work on being prepared to read someone after they dodge one direction, lets say you hit a light attack in a game, take notice of the way they dodge, generally people in gold aren't going to have the most varied dodges and dont really utilise diagonal dodges much so mostly you'll see them dodge in (into you), away (away from you) or spot dodge (no direction). if you hit someone with an attack and you notice that specific direction then keep it in mind and next time you hit them you'll probably see they dodge the same way (most people in gold do). once you practise that enough it'll become subconscious and just work on getting good punishes out of your dodge reads. as you get higher people will be harder to read and use better dodges but even till low diamond people still dodge the same way and have those kind of bad habits

random dodge is great for practising reacting to dodges but until your mechanics are on point i wouldn't worry too much about that, reading is easier in lower ranks and works

There are different thresholds for different items:
Bomb: 1 damage, 1 force
Mine: 1 damage, 1 force

Note that damage is counted only while holding the weapon, and is separate for each "instance" of a weapon; throwing a weapon and picking it back up doesn't reset the damage counter; X and Y are both capped at 2; and that this was the system used back in beta, so it's possible and likely that it's changed to some degree since then.

Weapon disarming works off of a multiplicative threshold formula, where:

X is equal to the amount of damage taken ÷ damage threshold
Y is equal to the attack force ÷ force threshold

There are different thresholds for different items:
Bomb: 1 damage, 1 force
Mine: 1 damage, 1 force
Spikeball: 1 damage, 1 force
Horn: 35 damage, 40 force
Weapons: 150 damage, 150 force

Note that damage is counted only while holding the weapon, and is separate for each "instance" of a weapon; throwing a weapon and picking it back up doesn't reset the damage counter; X and Y are both capped at 2; and that this was the system used back in beta, so it's possible and likely that it's changed to some degree since then.

I think you're right it won't directly give you the bp with the missions alone but with the 2 you get from playing and the xp multipliers it's pretty easy to get it by just playing if you don't get it finished by the last week

After many rounds of testing, Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) will now be enabled on Steam and enforced in ranked and tournament lobbies. Players who do not want to use EAC can still disable it with the -noeac launch parameter and can play custom matches or non-ranked game modes.

EAC is now confirmed to have no negative effect on performance as it once did in the past. Additionally, map backgrounds will still be modifiable without triggering EAC, and modifying map backgrounds will still be tournament legal.

I tried to remove and install, to move to other drive to open as administrator and deleted -noeac, but then the brawlhalla doesn't open. It opens the anticheat and then nothing happen until i got an error of 0xc0000142

I have a problem that seems to occur when activating the tech beta on steam on rx 6000 series gpus, when you open the game, you are greeted by a black screen and the game just wont work, forcing you to close it via steam

it works fine without the tech beta but I kind of need that framefixunbounded parameter, I would appreciate if anyone with the same problem could tell me what they did yo fix it or if they cant fix it at all.

I tested it on a rx6500 and an rx6600, different computers, changing graphics cards seemed to fix the issue but it may as well be a compatibility problem or something related to that.
