i like to start with figuring out where the wrist and the knuckles are, and separate the palm into 3 parts

if u look at ur right hand, notice the "7 shape" and how it kinda separates the 3 parts of ur hand. that's an easy way to boil ur hand down into simple shapes.

it gets more complicated than that though, i recommend just looking up "simplified hand" guides on google or something bc they have useful diagrams.
