combos = two or more attacks that aren't dodgable, you can learn what these are through google.
strings = multiple attacks stringed together but they're dodgable, you can go into training mode and hit the bot around and find what works, learning how to use slight > nair on gauntlets and then comboing out of nair is pretty important, and reading them out of dlight > dair (combo) on sword is a good thing to learn too

depends on the weapon, on gauntlets its suuuper useful, same as sword. it can be good to learn how you can use spot dodge like that, but dont forget if you miss a better player will hard punish you

slight dlight dair works more until orange, dlight dair is better past orange. if you're still learning the game i dont recommend learning it yet, but try to use dair after hitting slight > dash > dlight . if you cant do slight > dash > dlight learn that first

i mean, i dont really see what they'd gain by going for a aerial spot dodge on ember, katars gain nothing by going for it and both the weapons are better staying on the ground, if they were on a weapon where they gain combos from going for it, they'd probably do it

a lot of the time instead of aerial spot dodging they dodge into the ground from jump height, not really sure if its a bad habit but thats what they do instead

i told you the answer to your question. "should megd have used air-spotdodge more? " No they shouldn't because they gain nothing from it, i've said that twice now. I dont see why you'd think i haven't learnt the game or even why you're angry at me. their dodging into the ground (which is what they were doing instead of spotdodging) is bad since you spend 1 second without a dodge and they weren't dodging anything nor spacing it. megd is not a perfect player. if i have misunderstood your question tell me but if you really care i'd like to think i've learnt the game by now, im 2400, not that that should matter when answering a question
