I have steam modded, lovely, talisman, and cryptid installed, talisman shows up in the activated mods cryptid doesn’t, and lovely didn’t give me a command prompt so
I didn't think to get any logs so I dont know how helpful this information is, but:
I had a run recently where the game was lagging really hard in shops, on blind selection, and choosing cards to play a hand. But became buttery smooth again during scoring animations, opening up any menu (options, run info, deck, etc.) The game didn't break or crash, it just chugged pretty badly and I'm not too sure why it happened like that cuz yk this mod you expect it to lag when it's calcing score not literally any other time.
Idk devs if I were you I'd just hire me on the spot /j

- when you use a card it leaves the other spectral pack open
- trying to skip this buggy spectral pack crashes the game

Play the ccd deck, get a card that can get grant an exotic joker by destroying all others, then once you get the joker you need a lock from your other cards. Then you can negative it if you want, but after you lock it you can use analog and get 2 extra copies, or ankh

there's a bug that if you manage to double tag an empowered tag, they'll both open and bug out the game if you attempt to continue

Yeah. There's not really exhaustive documentation on what's compatible with what, so you've just gotta try things and see if they break the game or not
although if you have multiple mods and something breaks then the devs may or may not be able to help as easily.

I've now gotten an issue where after a hand finishes calculating score and completes the round, the round doesn't end. The cards stay on screen and does not advance to the payout screen. No amount of reloads solve it, softlocking any run this happens on. I have other mods but cryptid is the biggest and generally the root so I figured I'd mention here. I was playing Wormhole deck if that helps anything.

I've had this combination of mods for a little while at this point, haven't downloaded any updates in like the last week or so and this problem only came up yesterday
This is about as far as I can take the score without it becoming horribly tedious, as the second e is only incrementing one per hand. Any more retriggers and the game will crash, and I'm not finding any other effective way to speed up scoring.
What is that? Waluigi, 2x some random joker, 5x some exotic joker, 6 Googol Play Cards, 6 Exponentia, and are those all Scalae?
At this point, Googol Play Cards are useless as all they do is add 100 to that 1.9e10209, which as we both know is basically just adding zero.
Replacing all six of them with one more Waluigi is vastly more powerful, since all xMult is good for is improving lower mults and charging Exponentia
10 Scalae and 10 Double Scale. 5 Boredom, a canvas. Waluigi doesn't charge Exponentia for some reason.
I was unable to determine if it was stacking or not, but I figured it couldn't hurt.

You're really looking to retrigger Exponentia as many times as possible, and then stack them up with xMults and Scalae

Baron is good for your xMult triggers, ideally you'd want a focused retrigger card rather than a general retrigger (Chad, Canvas second-to-left, Brainstorm, Blueprint)

Avoid Waluigis because Waluigi/Exponentia is bugged, Scalae and Exponentia, if you can get a card that triggers multiple xMults then retrigger that using a second-from-left Canvas
Or maybe a third from left canvas if you wanna put Exponentia there, then get Tenebris and a bunch of Uncommon+ jokers that are benign
But Exponentia and Scalae is important
a few Mimes and a lot of cards like Four Fingers
Mimes specifically for if you want a Baron/Mime xMult generator for Expo
So ideally it'd go Baron, Exponentia, Canvas, Tenebris, A lot of Four Fingers, Mimes, Brainstorms, Blueprints on Brainstorms.
Also definitely get Crustulum.
Baseball card is good as well for getting xMults out of Jokers

also im gonna be honest i dont think its a good idea to balance your balatro mod around the base game. or at least end up centering it entirely on that. the game is already really easy to beat so unless you do a total overhaul theres not really fault in adding very powerful jokers

Just offering an alternate perspective - I really enjoyed the vanilla game stake climbing, as well as going out of my way to initially unlock all the jokers locked behind various achievements. Sure, cryptid adds a ton of possible stakes to the game to balance out things a bit, but, it does it in a way that kind of makes the game less fun, where, it becomes very restricting, and you wouldn't lose much by disabling the base game jokers, because you'd only want stuff from Cryptid in those runs to make it through.
I'd say basing mods around base game balance still allows you to go through the stakes and have a sense of progression, without making base-game jokers just waste that takes up the pool of cards. But, again, just an alternate perspective on why balancing around base-game is also a valid choice.

So. If you use 2 copies of the nostalgic googol play card on exponentia and scalae, it bugs one of the scalae and causes the other two to start affecting its scaling. So that is probably the fastest way to omega-num naneinf.

it's probably because scalae goes over e308 and since it isn't bignum/omeganumed, it bugs out and spits out infinity

got these tooltip stuffs to no longer be wonky
it ended up being a really niche issue, applying only to tags in the collection (which always align left unlike other shop items which always align up or down) and shop vouchers that were far enough on the left to have their tooltips flipped to the right side
We could also apply this to the the collections menu for cards.
either case caused the spawning tooltips to overlap the hovered position, which in turn unhovered the tag/voucher, causing the popup to go away etc.
D6 Joker descs get ginormous so I have it moves left/right the same way tooltips are

Simply add ExpantaNum to Talisman
Tarlton if you have a more regular/smaller amount of Jokers, or lots of Common Jokers, and Canvas if you have an absolutely DUMMY amount of Jokers.
(Also, I believe Tarlton acts on the same rules as Blueprint/Brainstorm, so you gotta take that into account as well.)
