@peak moat Also there is such a FLOOD of images being uploaded to Stock now, it takes Adobe around 8 weeks to accept/cut them. I'm still waiting on my Photography. They need different lines to upload AI or photography images. 😱

firefly has problems with wings. if i want to generate a person with wings, and i say the person should be visible from the front, everything fits. but if i explicitly say the person should be visible from behind, i see the back of the person, but the wings are still behind the person, practically on the chest. that makes no sense. and no matter how hard i try with prompts, firefly can't manage to generate a person with wings from behind.

i've meant to ask this question for a while, but perhaps something has changed since the last time i did ( @astral jolt?) - is there any possibility of including image model 2 as an option in the generative fill web edition or any edition the same way that the drop-down option exists for firefly prompt to image itself)

image model 2's granularity settings are sorely missing from image model 3 interface. is there any possibility or current plans to re-introduce granularity options for prompt and source bias with image model 3 if legacy option is not possible with 2?

granularity settings added a great deal of flexibility and value to the tool. their removal as part of model 3 testing is understandable, but it should not be tremendously difficult to add model 2 legacy option to genfil the same way as it exists elsewhere. and this would add tremendous value at low cost.

many techniques previously possible with model 2 bias granularity are no longer there and it has tremendously decreased the quality of results

i know this has been a frequently made request but haven't heard anything on the subject in a while so perhaps someone might provide an update ( @quaint lily ?)

Hello everyone. Does anyone feel like Generative Fill has been working a bit differently than before?

Before when I selected an area with quick mask and left the prompt blank it did a great job of removing unwanted stuff and basically make the part of the image better. One example is removing unwanted stuff from clothing.

But now when I want to remove text on t-shirt for example, the generative fill goes out of its way to generate something similar.

I know that there is also the "remove tool" but it has always given me worse results than just selecting an area and using generative fill with a blank prompt.

Nothing complicated tbh. For example removing print from a t-shirt. Earlier generative fill would just remove the print and complete the t-shirt with a proper texture, creases etc. Right now it tries to generate a similar item that is selected, so if I try to remove a text or a badge on the clothing, generative fill tries to generate something similar.

Seems like it doesn't work... here's my selection to remove the wonky logo from a rugby player's shirt

before it would remove it perfectly

but now all generations try to place something similar there

the remove tool (with the use of AI) does the job but worse than generative fill and it doesn't give me variants

these look like raster art, you'd probably be better off using something like photoshop to adjust the colors, there's no firefly tool that comes to mind for this task, generative recolor works with vector files

Now i try to get them back over the chrome browser history, i searched the old generation links. Any idea how i get the favorited images back? (I have not cleared the chrome browser cache)

I let you know earlier, there is no recovery. We can't know what have happened at your end to result in, but just suggest you how to proceed in future. Keeping share links to some sort of spreadsheet has proven best

You're trying to write a prompt to generate 6 panels with a specific animal inside each panel? If so, I highly doubt you'll be able to do that effectively. It would be much easier and more efficient to generate each one separately and then combine the panels in the correct order using another app, e.g. Photoshop, Adobe Express, etc.

I would like to make a series of AI images in Firefly, that would be all part of the same story. So that I could keep the same characters and/or beckgrouns while progressing the story forwards. IT would be for a short story of not longer than 2 narrated minutes, and I would need one image every 10ish secs, so all together it would be around 10 images in that story.

I havent tried this specific case but in my experience firefly prefers shorter prompts with keywords.

By first look I'd say that you could've try generating background and letter separate

I actually tried at first getting a clean background but I wasn’t able to do this, always got some fur so I ended up doing it all in this style. Also the fur always felt to rough and hard rather soft. And I noticed that Style Reference always overrides Structure reference. If my style doesn’t have the structure too it destroys it all. So I always needed to use a good generation as style reference.

You can't type in a brand or artist and have it reproduce that imagery. Plenty of people have tried to describe a character for example, and you might get a very generic version of it, but it's not going to be a one-to-one reproduction, precisely because that training data isn't there. Keep in mind that you're ultimately responsible for the content you produce and whether or not it violates someone else's intellectual property.

Well, there must be training data for Stargate, which, last I checked, is owned by MGM and Amazon so 🤷

It even has the constellations used for Stargate addresses, even if they are kind of muddled

So you might want to take a fine toothed comb to your training data to make sure it truly lacks copyrighted content

Can someone point me to a link where I can learn about consistency of images generated from text? I have simple requests: using the same composition, reference image, etc, create "A cat sitting on a chair," "A cat sitting in a tree," "A cat on a window ledge." But inevitably, despite the same parameters, the generated images change in style and composition. Very frustrating.

Its a lot of trail and error, you might have some luck if you describe the cat a little more eg. «A black slim cat with yellow eyes», then you’ll get results that should be more similar

It is possible someone took your work and uploaded it to this stock site, it's not good, but has been happening long before firefly existed. You can try reaching out to the stock site to have it removed but it's usually an uphill battle

i passed through my network adapter to a vm, basically bypassing the firewall in that VM, and worked

so it was probably the firewall

yah that's not very user friendly and apparently we figured out its something with my google settings but I cant figure out what it is.

My Brother in-law tried it with his google account from my PC ( to make sure it was nothing on my PC) and it let him upgrade so that means it has something to do with my google account since I logged in with that.

I don't have vpn >_< I even tried logging in with my Adobe account I made way back when when I was taking collage classes which uses the same e-mail as my google did the phone and e-mail verifications with codes and I still cant get upgrade

No intent to mistrust what are you saying however as this is not something that has been reporter earlier, and as you've mentioned yourself that is working on other device, means there is no issue with a service itself. Try other browser, other device and let us know if anything changes

Have you tried accessing from other device? if so, and you did not succeed you must request help from support. As said earlier we do not have access to accounts over here, if there is any issue with an account itself they should be able to resolve.

yes I just logged in to my husbands computer and he has the option to upgrade and as soon as I switch account and log in with my Adobe account which is linked to my google account I get told im in a country thats not supported

@sgws, thank you for the prompt, im trying to automatize how i process my clip arts, for some reason in midjourney and ideogram it creates the clipart where the images are not cropped, another thing is that on mydesigns the software remove the background completely with no extra steps, so sadly having a adobe membership i still had to get and ideogram membership and mydesings membership because on firefly i always have to do extr steps to fix my images, including removing the background, the image on the left was created on ideogram, the one on the right on firefly, anyway thank you for the prompt

It might be the settings that you are using, feel free to share what you got already. You have to be subscribed to Photoshop and illustrator in order to use generative features there

You have unnecessary describers there, you do not need to tell it what you do not want as message won't come across. Firefly prompt strength goes first to last word and you are in a way confusing it. Instead use effects as minimal, drop out unnecessary describers, make sure you are on art and try again

I did go to adobe stock and start combining some stuff for my mock ups, but I want to understand why Firefly is doing what it's doing. If I say generate me a plain black square over a white background, is it going to give me Steve Urkel?

Is "minimal" the literal name of the effect, or is it "minimalism" or something? I'm not sure if "minimal" is the exact word. I just meant a simplified "logo-like" look instead of these robust renditions of things that look like they belong in a museum from the bronze era.

I do not have answer to that question, it should've popped the exact reference. However, you may use the bottom left as a composition reference and develop further.

Style and composition references are two separate features where on matches style one composition. Make sure you got a rights for references you are using!
