hmm. if i could use it in papers for illustrations/demonstrative purposes, i think that would go a long way toward promoting adoption in academia and education. but if you want anyone to take a paper seriously, you must submit it to a journal, which may profit from providing access to it.

the pipeline is very slow (at least 1 month from writing a paper to publishing it) so it would be very helpful for academics if you provide an estimate for when firefly will be available commercially

here is my advice. go into photoshop and open 2 images, 1 which has you and the other is the photo you want to insert into. use the lasso tool to simply copy yourself into the second image. then, use generative fill to smoothen out the errors.

Every generative layer keeps the various generations stored. It is good practice to delete the onces you know you're not gonna use. You can delete the different generations without deleting the entire layer iirc this can be done in the property tab
