no. it means that if you click it and it goes through but it doesn't show the items or that it has happened. that you now have 30 mins of it saying not connected. I am making an assumption here. but the advice in #❓faq on what to do is to wait 30 mins. which would not only lower the trafic but also allow the timer to catch up if it had gotten stuck in a loop at a different time than it should be and allowing it to reset to the right time

Everyone is experiencing it now - the issue from Steam side. Click on the chest every half hour anyway, even if Steam gives an error. You still receive the item - just check your Inventory History.
(To find your Steam inventory history, go to your Inventory page, click the "..." (More) button, and select "View inventory history" to see past trades and item changes.)

In-game exchange may freeze, but it seems to work as well; a new item can also be tracked in the Inventory History. Only the achievements Trader, Vendor, and Merchant are a bit laggy 😮‍💨 Still postpone doing the in-game exchange to receive them.

You need to be in the same lobby. In the 4th tab of the game, click Create Lobby, copy the code, and share it with her. She should paste it into the corresponding field and press Join. Later you can make your lobby private (the eye icon next to the lobby code).

It’s actually a Steam inventory thing. 🤷‍♀️ Even if the items look identical, Steam sometimes treats them as separate items instead of stacking them.

simple client checks to ensure steam is up could be made and disable chests, etc, if it is not up so you dont run into constant errors and constant popups

Are you talking about the achievement? You do the 10 exchange in game. If you want to trade with other users it isn't done through the game but through marketplace and trading with friends like here #1437507088053174394
