genuine question, what does multiplayer do in tap tap loot? I noticed my friend dosent really do anything besides toss a coin at me every so often and their character usually just stands back at the end of the scroller. I tired understanding the Info bubble but im still a bit lost

as your friends are tapping on their computer their character will have a bar at the top that fills up. when it is full and you are tapping away it will use their abilities on your screen. 🙂

Hello! My friend recently got bongo cat as well, she can join the lobby wihtout a problem and I see her as well, but we can't see each other's taps, and she appears afk to me. Is there a fix to it? Try to update game - I don't see her cat tapping, but in leaderboard I see clicks, so... go to steam library and check for updates

if you can’t see emoji reactions, they might have been disabled in the lobby settings. Also - is she actually clicking, and does her cat tap its paws on her screen? (because there’s also “Ignore clicks” option in settings - if that’s enabled, the cat stops reacting to your clicks)

if you are looking at the ink jar one specific. then it is no longer available. it was for a while when we first heard about OKU (you can learn more about the game if you add it to your #✋roles ) now you would need to either trade for it or find it on the marketplace.
most of the items in the reward section are from special events and such that are no longer available.

If it's about Bongo cat: the first time, you’ll get a free fruit-themed skin to choose. There are also achievements tied to how big a lobby you join.
With the latest updates, an in-game chat feature has been added — you can now send short messages (up to 50 characters) in multiplayer.
Item drops aren’t affected by staying in a lobby — it’s always RNG-based.

so i've been using bongo cat since last july to keep track of how long i use my pc for (spoiler alert im a no lifer), and while i rly love this silly app i don't want it to be shown that i'm using it anywhere. despite having the game hidden both on steam and discord, it still shows up as an activity on my discord status, and i dislike having to disable my whole status. i'm not sure if this is a bug on the discord client's side or bongo cat's side, but i thought i'd ask regardless

Why did you need to uninstall the game? What happened? Or do you mean you clicked “Update & Restart” in the game’s settings? If something won’t close, try ending the game through Task Manager.

Every time you open a chest, even while making an in-game exchange (the 3rd tab), the achievement counter increases by +1.
If you receive items through trades with other players and it exceeds the current number on your achievement counter, then trading also helps you progress toward "Item Collector" achievement.

more often this kind of issue is caused by unwanted input from another source. You should check a few things:

• Make sure no keyboard keys are physically stuck or repeatedly triggering input
• Check your mouse for a “double click” issue or accidental clicks
• Disconnect any controller/gamepad that might be sending inputs
• If you use a graphics tablet, it could also be registering pressure or clicks in the background
• Close any macro software that could be sending automated inputs (if you use such)

Opening one of the chests has always cost 1000 clicks (this does not affect your Lifetime taps, only the accumulated clicks on the counter below the cat). When the chest pop-up appears, you can see the number “1000” shown on the icon 😅

Depends on the game or other window

Most often it's somewhere in display settings

If the game doesn't support it, this goes a bit into more technical things and I won't always recommend it, you can use tools like SpecialK, which can enforce windowed borderless on any apps

It’s very important to have the game updated to the latest version and not use a VPN. Can you confirm that you and your friend recently did an Update and Restart in the settings (6th tab in the menu, at the very bottom), and that neither of you is using a VPN?

Do you mean that when launching the game, your screen becomes white for a few seconds before the cat appears, and then it disappears and Bongo Cat shows up?
That is the normal startup behavior of the game. 😅 The game is loading along with some of its special features (since it uses Windows-specific features such as a transparent window).

so about a month ago bongo got slow, now the past 2 days i've been seeing this where it just disconnects from steam and asks me to restart it

could you go to your settings and use the update and restart feature if you have not done so lately?
this means your game is fully up to date in case there was small things fixed lately.
also this can happen when steam does their maintanence. though that is mainly on tuesdays we see issues from there.

alright, i forgot to mention also bongo cat became slow with opening chests after i reached 400K

now it's always around 450K+

its fine with it being slow tho, only a bit annoying when it just denies to open a chest and restarts the 30 min counter

will be back if it continues, i updated and restarted it in settings now

that sounds like you have been disconnected from steam when that happens. could you check your steam inventory history if it happens again. that way you know if you still get the items. and also if it happens again could you make a #1337544835292467250 and share your log files so the developers can have a look?

so all items you get in bongocat is in your steam library. when you use the exchange feature it removes them and gives you one of a higher tier. but everything is managed through it.
open steam go to the "your name" button at the top (next to community) - inventory - more - inventory history

the log files are in your settings as well.

Try enabling Admin mode in Bongo settings - it might be caused by different permission levels between all your programs.

Try going through the in-game settings and scrolling down to Update and Restart. Check your Steam Inventory as well to make sure all of your items are still there. If they are, it's just a visual bug

Question! My apologies if this has been answered already! Is there a way for me to hide all the lobby cats behind my screen except for mine? I mainly ask because I like seeing my little guy, and though I love seeing everyone else's cats too, they get in the way when the lobby keeps growing. I know I can move and stack them in a corner, I was just wondering if there is any way around that since it can sometimes be time consuming lmao
