If you haven't played the game in a while, now is a great time to do so! The next fest demo has some cool new content to try out. Especially the village got a major glow up. We also now have a ration system. You can produce certain goods in the village and use them as boosters for your next cave expedition.

We just deployed a hotfix patch for the demo:
- Fixed a bug in which the city doesn't get saved properly
- Fixed resolution scaling for resolutions higher than 1080p
- Fixed that the end of demo screen gets shown too early

Now, we know some of you may feel like the difficulty is a tad too high, especially after the first biome. We’ve heard your feedback, and our team is hard at work on a balancing update to make sure your experience stays challenging but not as much as it was. We’re trying our best to deliver the update as soon as possible, so keep your eyes open for future news!
Remember, this game was made for you, the players, and we want to make sure you’re having all of the expected fun. That’s why we’d love to hear your feedback, opinions and suggestions, as they truly help us improve EcoGnomix.

Bats - Where do they come from? 🦇 ❓
Hello fellow cave explorers! Today I wanted to share some in depth knowledge about the bats that might help you.
Bats are super dangerous, so its good to know when their number increases, and when its safe to stay. Here are the basics:
- 🏁 You start with 5 bats
- 1️⃣ Cave 1-7: +1 bat when moving deeper down
- 2️⃣ Cave 8-13: +2 bats when moving deeper down
- 3️⃣ Cave 14-20: +3 bats when moving deeper down
- 🛍️ Shops do not add new bats
- 🪹 Bat nests add 1-3 bats every turn (depending on their size)
So it is definitely safe to stay a bit longer in the early caves! Their numbers will not increase if you stay there a bit longer. But make sure to catch any bat nests early!

EcoGnomix Patch 1.1: Balance Update is here! 🌿✨
We’re happy to bring you our first update, filled with the highly requested balance changes along with fixes to the reported issues. We won’t make the intro too long, so you can jump straight into the full patch notes below and see what’s new!
NEW FEATURES
- Added unlockable "Upgrade Bans" that allow players to choose upgrades to exclude from Helena's shop
BALANCE
- Dry Canyon Boss now stays for 4 (up from 3) actions if it does not catch anything to devour
- Dry Canyon caves with a "food" map icon now have an increased number of oases
- Bug Rancher's bugs now yield 2 food when harvested (up from 1)
- Bug Rancher price increased to 10 (from 5)
- Reduced the number of bats spawned by Stringbloom (scorpion miniboss) from 3 to 1
- Selling a gnome now refunds 50% of the costs of its upgrades in addition to the base gnome cost
- Scorpions can no longer attack flying gnomes with the "Flight Crew" upgrade
- Bat Nests can no longer spawn in completely inaccessible locations
- Increased the amount of "horns" dropped by bosses and minibosses
- Increased the Bombergnome's base damage to 4 (up from 3)
- Increased the damage on the Marksman's "Piercing" upgrade to 4 (up from 3)
