Not really, though people tend to recommend certain classes anyway because it'll sometimes make like 1% difference in the end. Certain races have what is called racials. They could be either passive or ones that are activated. For example, Undead has a racial called Cannibalize, that allows you to eat a corpse to regain health. They also have a passive racial that'll make shadow damage deal 1% less damage on them.

It's typically stuff like that. Some racials have bigger impact than others, but I personally would recommend you play what you like the looks and animations of, because that's what you'll be looking at for a long time.

If you right-click the race during the creation screen you can read about their racials by the way

You can. What Chromie's Time Travel does is it'll scale your character for the content you've chosen. If you choose to Time Travel to The Burning Crusade, you'll be met with equally strong enemies as yourself.
Once you reach level 50, Chromie's Time Travel becomes unavailable. You can still go to the old content, but you won't be scaled for it, meaning most enemies will likely die in a single hit.

It's also worth to do a swap to all Covenants for alts and give them the Renown boost for each, as each gives 1k Anima.

I have an issue on my lvl 20 rogue i am trying to level, the quest Vouchsafe our Arrival from WoD is not available for me, even though I have a lvl 1 garrison. I remember the quest being there earlier but now the npc doesn't have anything.

I take a quest that sends me somewhere, decide nup, I'll do that later, and return to my current content.

Then when I get back to the diversion WoW questing threw at me, I'm not phased right, or something is messed up.

The only reason I can think of is that the level is below your current character's level (though I doubt that's it)
Try clicking the magnifying glass icon on your minimap and toggle Trivial Quests on to enable low leveled quests

Other than that I've no idea. Have you checked the WoWhead comments for said quest to see if anyone there has had the same problem (and possibly posted a solution as well)?

Upside: You'll always have something that feels fun to play for every patch and expansion, and your knowledge about other classes will prove useful in both PvE and PvP content.

The Legion era Dalaran Hearthstone doesn't work. And my only option is the one give by the innkeeper if you 'lost' the original. But I never had the original, because I didn't follow the intro quest, and later when I went to do it Thrall was gone.

what do you mean by "current expansion"? But in general yeah you can always go wherever you want and do the quests there. i recommend creating alt characters for the expansions you wanna play, activating chromie time for the expansion and questing through it

Warn me mods, if this is not the right channel for this. So I started WoW at the SL pre-patch. I quit after a while, and now having the itch to return. The thing is, both Dragonflight and Classic WOTLK will be released probably at the end of the year. I'm wanting to play Classic, and I heard that WOTLK was the prime time of WoW. Generally, which one will attract more people/will be more fun? As a barely newcomer, would it be difficult for me to enjoy Classic, and probably Dragonflight would be a better option?

Also, I've tried Classic before, but the first levels were kinda a struggle.

Classic, is at its heart, close to what World of Warcraft was when it launched. It’s not supposed to be easy with all the quiality of life changes and what not in retail, levelling is part of the experience in learning the class and how the game works.

As a new / returning player it’s better to start with Retail. As the levelling experience is less punishing then in Classic Vanilla / TBC.

There are lots of players on both variations of the game. Just if you want to be on a active server best to choose one with a high population.

The few sources I can find all seem to say the same thing you found. It seems to be a bit convoluted, with some saying you can and other saying you can't. All signs seem to point to getting the account-wide unlock from SL to be sure. Retaining racials--even pseudoracials like taming--seems to be dicy after a race change

Worst case scenario, you'll just have to wait until you get the undead taming tome after you race change 🤷

It's not as big of a hurdle as many make it out to be, anyway

You have not started that quest chain just yet, so make sure you have trival quests on and check the command Board for "A Personal Summons".

If you've leveled one character to 50, you'll be able to use Chromie Time. If you use Chromie Time for Northrend that content will not only scale to your level up to 50, but you'll also be able to queue for its dungeons while leveling as well and be placed in a phase just for that content

This is not a thing. Dungeons at end game are meant to be done in groups if you want current content gear

There are however dungeons you can run and get transmog appearances and or mounts. All those will be super easy to clear solo

The majority of legacy (old) dungeons and raids cap at the same level cap of the zone their entrance is in, and are primarily just soloable for transmogs, mounts, pets, and other collectibles in addition to some questlines

The way the game is designed, the only "relevant" content that contributes to your endgame player power is current content. This way, people can quickly engage in current content and endgame without having to backtrack and get caught up. WoW has been around for almost 18 years, and numerous expansions, and trying to get a player to slog through ALL of that just to be viable isn't fun or engaging

Also if we even had all the dungeons available as M+ we’d still have our BiS gear set and only run the dungeons needed to get that. More dungeons at endgame would further divide players because why should I run WC M+ when there nothing I’d want from there but I’ll run one of these other dungeons i need something from

Just for your information, there are weekly events and a few of those are timewalking-events, where you can go do old expansion-dungeons and you get gear appropriate for your currrent level (you also get timewalking-badges, that you can use to buy stuff) i'm not sure how powerfull the gear is that drops from those dungeons tough

basically, the "only" things to consider are technically what gives you the most and best stats
so if you for example have bis boots drop in raid, you probably shouldn't craft Lego boots, and go for say the head for more stats per se
ofc this is like a super rough example but I hope you know what l mean, l suck at describing stuff heh

so the status points on it (agi, crit, haste etc) are also more than other pieces of gear

so if you see your "bis" which means best in slot, boots drop from a boss, you'd most likely be better off not using that slot for a legendary since you can choose its secondary stats yourself and might be able to fill out a slot that doesn't have bis stats for you, or if you have free choice, choose the slot that generally gives you the most "points"
