I’m a restoration druid with i think appropriate gear but i have no idea what my limitations are. I keep seeing high keys in the premade groups but i always hesitate to request to join. My ilvl is 236 average and still have no clue what my limits are. So if anyone could tell me what the average dungeons/raids/BGs etc i can heal only looking at my gear. (All stats are correct for healing)

I do +8/+9s with my resto druid, and i usually dont have problems keeping my teammates alive if they dont stand in something on the ground, my ilvl is 224 on him, so i think you should be able to run +13/+14 if you have experience in healing with resto druid @wild warren

yeah... but you havent been in chromie time yet... Let me explain:

A Fresh Character on a more or less new account (yours) gets automatically put onto a path on which you have to play BFA to get to lv 48-50 to then go into Shadowlands. Once you got that you are free to do whatever.

A Fresh Character after that (and for every other not new account) has the Option to go to Chromie to Sign Up for a decently scaled expansion experience of their choice in which they can lv. up to lv. 50. once they hit 50 chromie time gets disabled and they get teleported to capital city to head into Shadowlands.

Also that info could have been before shadowlands prepatch which changed things. (You probably had to do the “a nation divided” before shadowlands)

But since you are not even out for Chromie Time to lv. another character but just want to Queue for Legion Dungeons: Bad news thats not gonna happen.

You can only queue for dungeons that fit into your currently set time. If you are <48 and didnt select and Chromie Time then its BFA. If you are above then its Shadowlands. If you select a Chromie Time then you got the Dungeons of that expansion and those of all the Chromie Times your current Party Members selected.

You only want to complete your legion campaign tho so you better get lv. 60 and just solo that shit. Easiest way right there

But you could try what i suggested earlier about discarding the shadowlands quest and trying to talk to chromie again. its a bit weird but could work.
Basically once you have the quest (which you accept automatically) chromie doesnt want to talk to you

From what I have gathered, DKs and DHs dump out of Chromie time at 48 not 50. My Warrior was fine until 50 but my DK got kicked out at 48

im at a wierd place where i found myself coming up to 50 - found out i needed chromie time to queue for legion dungeons - was told a bunch of info, bought shadowlands, was going to anyways - was told i need a lvl 50 - used my boost - and trying to get my not yet lvl 50 into chromie time to queue for a dungeon - and im like wtf im doing everything im being told - and not working and banging my head against a wall - like wtf blizz

ugh i think my problem is i've played 2 mmorpgs that each zone had a set lvl range, and i liked the feeling of getting stronger and each zone was a new challenged while old zones felt trivial and made you feel accomplished - then both games changed - eso and wow - eso changed first, then wow - scaling feels terrible, really takes away from the old feelings of getting powerful

yeah i get that. many players would love the old style of unscaled content where you progress through a region, getting closer to the goal with harder and harder enemies (which implies that you could stomp on the mobs of the first zones) but these times are over

because if you went to a lvl 1-10 zone at say lvl 50 you 1 shot everything, that made you feel powerful, but if you were in a 50-60 zone things were a challenged, a 40-50 zone was slightly easier but not great - anything 20-40 was pretty decently easy. the whole time its like this as you progress, the old stuff gets easier and easier - but the new stuff is as tough as it should be - this honestly leads you to feel like you progressed passed the older weaker stuff - like you actually leveled up

the problem with the new system is if your a lvl 10, a lvl 10 mob feels the same as if your a lvl 40 with a lvl 40 mob - and its ALWAYS like that because everything is always around your lvl, so nothing is old and feeling like you got stronger than that npc

ok... let me try to simmer this down please - i think im not being understood right - and im not trying to invalidate. tbh i feel like IM being invalidated, here's why:

i played something at a certain time, got used to it - didn't like change
you played something later, got used to it, like things that way, you can go back and experience old stuff - but no matter what thats not what you started with and became accustomed too, no matter what you do, you could never be there

now - you started in wrath - years later when some1 new is used to some other new changes you may not like, even though they can go back and experience the old stuff, it will NEVER be as original as your experience and things your used to - and you may be grumpy for the old wrath experience and not whats 2 expansions down the road

its just progress. your invalidating the old experience. I really am not trying to invalidate YOUR opinion - i am just saying - no matter what, the fact is, you got used to a newer experience than i did
