If your pet drops come from rare's then yes. But the droprate has to be 100% then. If you already killed it but not droped the pet you CAN'T uncheck it because ur gonna miss pets then

If you uncheck it all rare's you ever killed disapear even if you didn't drop the pet

I have this really peculiar issue with WoW whilst using a Razer Tartarus Pro V2... Where my movement is directional and inverted... it is no longer smooth movement either, very jarred direction changes instead of moving like a joystick

Not, it's not. It's just that on a Starter Edition account you don't have access to the best social features of the game. It's just meant to be a trial experience to determine whether or not you like the basic gameplay

WoW is a subscription based live service MMORPG. You're not going to get the full experience on a Starter Edition account

If you choose to subscribe or add gametime you can level, find and play with friends, join a guild, and more. Once you get the current expansion you can level to max, play current expansion content, and do current endgame activities like world events, dungeons, raids, arenas, battlegrounds, etc

Most players are in endgame content, with the bulk of people you see leveling being other new payers or existing players just trying to quickly level their alt characters

But just a forwarning--this is an RPG. There are going to be quests. A lot of quests. Even at endgame there are entire questlines and campaigns to do

All race, class, and spec combinations are viable for all forms of content and the best one is going to be the one you're better at playing and enjoy the most. The only classes not recommended for new players are Death Knights, Demon Hunters, and Evokers as these classes have their own unique starting zones and lack a proper tutorial for the game itself and may not direct you to the best content for leveling afterwards

My advice isn't so much about skinning but professions in general; if you really want to make money off of professions, you might want to ask for advice on the economy/tsm discord server while also getting an auction house addon that displays scanned average auction house prices on tooltips. Especially in terms of Dragonflight gathering professions they're mostly all about getting better crafting materials for crafting professions, but in some cases lower quality materials end up selling better than higher quality materials (usually due to people who want to refine them into higher qualities themselves), and knowing the value of what materials you're selling and when can be the difference between a few hundred or a few thousand gold.

You don't need to do all of them, only enough to full up the monthly bar for the big reward. Then you collect your rewards at the chest next to the trading post and then spend your traders tender, or tendies, on whatever they're selling this month

if you want a class that will stay the same and be easy to play, Fury Warrior. If you fancy a bit more in changes and better AOE then Ret. If you want to play something that is harder to play but does more damage and can be nerfed to do less dmg then Havoc

Fury is naturally designed to survive over Arms and can take on many opponents and do some good self heals
Paladin is similar to Fury has less self heals as part of general rotation but has specific spells to live, plus like Fury you are using Plater armor
Havoc is the weakest in surviving for being a leather wearer, 2nd worst but not terrible. Your focus will be on CC and Damage to kill them before you take too many hits

if you got a few friends willing to help you out then you can AFK in a group around Elite DF areas, you and them will need Dragonflight expansion.
Fastest solo is probably queuing TBC/Outland dungeon finder on Chromie time as the dungeons are quick (besides 2 but still not the worst), mechanics are easy and things die quick.

Oh yeah, if timewalking is up, always do timewalking dungeons. There’s a buff on your bar that says “Legion” timewalking or Pandaria etc. Cancel your Chromie timeline to queue for timewalking. I think there is a level requirement of 35.

Just questing in content scaled to your level is the best way to keep leveling, while not skipping any content and occasionally queuing for dungeons or battlegrounds. Even in BFA you should hit 60 before finishing all 3 leveling zones

(As of 10.1.5) If the Earthen Guardians / Nathanos aren't offering you this quest - make sure you've completed the DF intro quest To The Dragon Isles (questline starts with Wrathion - The Dragon Isles Await).

After completing the DF intro quest, the Earthen Guardian FINALLY offered A Dying World.

The Blizz support article says don't be on the DF intro quests (which I interpreted as "not in your questlog"), but this is incorrect - I had to actually complete the questline (which only takes ~5 mins)

Knowledge points come from first time crafts/weekly quests. There are two other sources of getting them as well sometimes you can randomly obtain an item that will give you a knowledge point. Turning in the dragon shard thingy to the person in OP. There are also one time items in the world that will give you a couple of knowledge points too.

The worth is subjective. They provide the convenience of one less slot to worry about while leveling as well as quality of life set bonuses. The experience buff is unnecessary and not needed anymore due to how leveling and scaling works now, and how it's faster and more convenient than ever before

They're a QoL item and a gold sink. If you can afford them and enjoy the convenience they provide for leveling, they're worth it

But if you don't have much gold and aren't leveling fields of alts, that worth may be less

All I've been doing is questing and levelling, but so much of the game is just sailing over my head at the moment! To be expected, I suppose! If youre a story person theres alot of story, unfortunately blizz did a very bad job this expac with telling you which order they go in so I would suggest looking up a guide on wow head or google which main quests come chronologically.
If youre more of a collector theres tons to do right off the bat and you shouldnt need to unlock most things. Just use rarescanner or something like that and head off to kill all the things for all the stuff.
If youre more into the regular gameplay, I would suggest looking up guides specifically on flightstones as its a core gearing mechanic. Then que for heroics and LFR as usual. I wouldnt worry to much about getting the best gear possible right now as S4 will be soonish and with it comes all new ilvls. I hope this helped even a little. Welome back

I did the traditional leveling through Chromie Time in Dalaran and through the Class specific quests. Got the best gear available through the Dungeons and quests. What could be the issue? you can do quests on the dragonislands season 2. There you get enough experience to get to lvl 70. You also can gear up by this... When you are lvl 70 go to the emerald dream and get higher ilvl gear. And season 4 almost starts aswell so u better hurry up a bit XD

You are aiming for lvl 70 first now, then you can get higher ilvl gear from the auction house or play the emerald dream content. After that you can try raids and mythic+ dungeons to increase the ilvl of your gear. We currently are on 489 max ilvl now

on mythic 18+ you get 483 gear and every wednesday the Great Vault gives you a 489 piece. before jumping into this as I said get lvl 70 and try to get a 424 set aswell (very easy to egt when ur lvl 70)

HOW TO ENTER A TIMEWALKING DUNGEON EVENT?
From September 26 players’ characters level 50 and above can enter a special finder queue. In the Dungeon and Raids tab there’s a drop-down list in the Dungeon section. There you can select “Random Timewalking Dungeon”. There are 6 dungeons in rotation. You can check which are in the pull simply navigate to the “dices” icon.

Unfortunately, he’s not disappearing and it’s not a bug. He’s being killed. Players can flag themselves as enemies of the Cenarion Circle and nuke him down as he has very little health. And it really doesn’t take more than one player logging in periodically to keep him dead for a long stretch of time. This was true of Vanilla, Era, and SoM as well.

I feel it is important to reiterate you won't be able to que for heroic dungeons, time walking, or lfr. I have a single friend that plays horde and he's always left out when we do silly stuff. If you're only doing mid-high level content then there's no real difference at all.

I've killed him to respawn him (5 minute respawn) as the respawn is visible to everyone.

Heirlooms aren't necessary at all, and are only a quality-of-life thing for people with the disposable gold to afford them. They do not provide you any advantage in performance really and even questing/dungeon gear of the same level can be stronger. Heirlooms are only convenient because of the set bonuses to rested experience and that they scale with your character level while you're leveling, removing the need to worry about a gear slot. Plenty of experienced players, including myself, sometimes even level without heirlooms just because they can be inconvenient/expensive to upgrade

I'm assuming you're still leveling since you're mentioning dungeons and a new character. Just compare what's recommended off of the leveling section on your class/spec guide to how you're playing and adjust appropriately: https://www.wowhead.com/guide/classes/warrior/fury/dps-leveling-tips

And don't worry about DPS while in leveling dungeons. Leveling content isn't balanced or tuned at all, and different people can even be scaled to different levels inside those dungeons

Hey everyone, I don't think there's a feature like this already so correct me if I'm wrong.

I regularly look at the wowhead website for news updates, and it always irks me that there's no way to avoid seeing a headline that incorporates the newest datamined story in some way under the "PTR" tag (image somewhat related). I like to follow the PTR category to see what's happening with class development and such, but I'd really like to avoid having plot lines spoiled because of some datamine post that needs to summarize things in a headline (there's also some cases where some content creator videos are showcased with their video title in the post headline that's just a massive spoiler).

Is there something to filter out posts like this today, and if not, would it be possible to have a "PTR story" tag that I could uncheck or something? (inb4 "don't look at wowhead then")

Queuing as a different spec doesn't always swap you automatically, so to avoid issues I would recommend queuing for the spec you're currently playing or swapping after you queue

Leveling protection can be very fast. Sure, dungeon leveling spam hasn't been effective since level scaling was introduced in Legion, but in PvE open world questing content their survivability and healing allows them to pull very large groups of mobs and zip through quests quickly

If you're trying to fight quest mobs one at a time like you're a dps spec then of course it will be slower. When leveling a tank you want to focus on your strengths

Tanks also queue faster than dps for random groups

Level the spec you want to play. You don't need to constantly swap depending on content

Retail/Dragonflight is the full version of the game, with all previous expansions including future content and updates. To play any version of WoW you need to have a subscription or active gametime. I'd recommend trying out each class while playing for free and trying out their different specs until you find a playstyle you enjoy. I'm not going to recommend a specific one because that is a trap, and you may not end up trying something else that you may enjoy more. However keep in mind that Death Knights, Demon Hunters, and Evokers are not recommended for new players only because they have their own unique starting zones and lack a proper tutorial experience for the game itself, as well as the potential to not direct you to the appropriate content for leveling

Melee in WoW is pretty much all about the same range, though Hunter does get a spec that focuses on 2h melee weapons and a pet, and you get some neat class fantasy stuff for throwing javelins. Warrior can also use spears too

Many classes can use polearms, but a polearm doesn't perform any differently ingame to a 2h sword, axe, mace, or even staff weapon.

They can even have their appearances changed so that while you have a 2h axe equipped you could make it look like a polearm, with the same animations

I would say run dead mins until ur lvl 23 then do duskwood until lvl 30, then run stockade until 35, head to south shore quest there until 38, head to scarlet Monastery dungeon until 42, go to strangle vale thorn until 45, do zul’farrak dungeon until 48, head to searing gorge until 51, head to feelwood until 55, head to winter spring/dead wing pass/ moon glade/ slitihus til 60 or can just do dire maul dungeons or scholomance dungeon til 60.
