You shouldn’t look at the top specs on the ladder and have that decide what you want to play and enjoy

If ur aiming for 23s you can definitely do that as arcane if you’re just good at the spec

No reason to reroll if ur not doing 26-30s

All race, class, and spec combinations are viable for all forms of content and the best one is going to be the one you're better at playing and enjoy the most. Different races do have their own racials, however their use is so incredibly situational that they all perform well in different situations. Frankly, if you have to ask then you're not playing the content where it matters. And once you are experienced enough to know the difference you'll know how to use what and where to the point that it still doesn't matter.

They drop as gear, but yeah it's just going to be RNG whether or not they drop. It took me a couple dozen runs for my hunter's heroic Tomb set but only three for my shaman, so just keep your head up and hang in there if that's the mog set you want

If you’re looking at sims then you should go off those rather than a base idea of stat priority

Even if crit haste are your best stats they might not necessarily be the best for your current gear

Ok, thank you. It just seems Raidbots is pushing mastery quite a bit on me even though its already very high and the guide says to try and get a 40/40/10/10 split between the secondaries. Mastery being one of the 10% stats and I am currently over 30% and it just keeps pushing more.

private servers tend to change different code within the game. you ask about an orb, i see a lightning orb and two other circles with icons in them. the lightning orb is not something i am familiar with, and others likely the same. the only lightning orb i know of is when you are a shaman and have lightning shield on you get an orb that floats around you. hence asking people on that server is better

Lately I’ve been having trouble with WoW stuttering and briefly freezing up, mostly when in combat. Most of the time I’m running at like 140fps but especially if I do a large AoE or something everything will freeze up for a second before then moving again while the attack lands. Or sometimes I’ll be running and every 2-3 seconds the game will stutter as my character moves. I’ve been playing since launch and never had this happen. My PC is more than capable and I’m not having issues with anything else. Anyone else experience this or know what’s going on?

Then you should experiment and figure out which one you enjoy most! There's no "wrong choice" aside from playing the incorrect spec for your role (like a dps trying to tank or a healer trying to dps), and if someone tells you otherwise then you're playing with the wrong group

The biggest thing you can contribute to your group is knowing how to play your chosen spec

It's just total different experience. I'm lv70 and still had to do three zones campaign to get world quests today. Classic Era just let me start where my level allows. That's the difference. I don't mind the "Kill 10 boars" but I mind the "Kill 10 boars to get the next quest, which will get you next quest, which will then unlocks a very important feature"

Really enjoyed the timewalking week where I spammed dungeons and didn't care about anything else.

Yes, and more buffs. For example building up renown with the Maruuk Centaur gives you a significant buff not only to yourself and your hunting companion during hunts, but the ability to use your companion and the buffs outside of the hunts

Play their questlines, go on Grand Hunts, complete the weekly objective for free rep to all factions, etc. World quests are on a bi-weekly cycle instead of daily because this makes it easier for people with less gametime or many alts to not "miss out" on content

As someone who is essentially new to WoW, in the sense that, I've never done any end game content for any expansion, I've only done the leveling system. How likely would I be able to get into a guild and do an endgame raid in either classic or WotLK? I think I know my class well enough and have stuff like details downloaded to make sure I keep up with DPS or whatever my role is, but I'm just genuinely curious if I could realistically experience end game with players.

Wotlk and classic content has been done hundreds of times over, and some of (compared to retail) easier content now.

Best bet would be to look for guilds who need fill ins, look over some videos of the raid to learn the fights, and grab the required addons, such as Weakauras, DBM, etc. If you feel comfortable with your class, just let the group know you are new to raiding. Listen to the raid lead, and try your best. Ultimately you should be fine.

Are you Subtlety Rogue? Did you choose a talent that replaces it? Is it in your spellbook and not on your actionbar?

One of the major reasons that using a boost on something you've never leveled before is strongly NOT recommended for new players is because you're supposed to learn and be introduced to your class as you level up, and boosting dumps all of it onto you at once. This overwhelms many players who have no experience with what they're playing.

Logs also have to be taken with a lot of context as well, since the majority are only focused on specific situations or during certain affixes or rely on different patch or fight mechanics. That and there's a large amount of subjectivity and community perception to take into account.

One example of this was Survival Hunter in M+ before patch 9.1.5. While SV was an absolutely amazing powerhouse with uncapped AoE which made it amazing in M+, the community perception of the spec itself was incredibly bad because of one tier list back in BFA and so it had very minimal player representation

nope. you wont notice anything really unless you're a top 0.5% player or something. Some races do have nice active abilities tho that you might like because of several reasons. You basically get to lv. 60 and then you head into dragonflight. Once you're 70 you can work on your gear and head into endgame content

meaning you have to pay once for dragonflight (which is currently on sale) and besides that you have to pay for sub/gametime

if you dont buy dragonflight you can still play tho. you can play up to lv. 20 for free, up to level 60 and in all expansions except dragonflight with just gametime/sub and once you bought df you can level to 70 and play in dragonflights zones, instances, etc

This also depends on what you mean by "up to par". Are you just wanting to be able to take on various outdoors content? Or strive for Mythic+ runs? Become a raider? You can survive as a solo player for a good bit of WoW, but if you want to do group content, I'd recommend finding a guild

Keep in mind that in many zones some of the main zone chapters can be locked behind what seems like a side quest, and that side quests often open up more content as well

385 primalist gear converts into normal VotI set, 395 converts into heroic, the only way to obtain LFR or mythic recolors is if you have some season 1 m+ gear on your bank, or by farming the raid

Hekili only helps with the basics. It does not and cannot give you the most optimal rotation. That you have to learn yourself by reading guides, visiting your class discord and practicing

Demonology has a wide variety of summons and now with the customization they added in 10.1.5 even more, however with the hunter you can choose from hundreds of unique pets, I recommend trying both, they are very different classes.

For example, for a beast mastery hunter one of the best tanky pets you can have for PvE content is a clefthoof due to its automatically triggered defensive ability, pet lust, and leech paired with the exotic family trait Blood of the Rhino that boosts its healing and leech

It's very common that you'll see players using the objectively incorrect type of pets for the content they're playing

Retail is the current version of the game up to and including the current expansion (if owned) with its 19 years of content and quality of life updates, and continued active development. WoW Classic is a recreation of the game as it was before any expansions, with Wrath Classic being a recreation of the game during its second expansion

Objectively retail would be the better option, as it is much more streamlined and a more modern experience in addition to having an actual tutorial/introduction starting experience for new players

Subjectively I would say that retail is more played/more popular but Classic does have a very... vocal fan base

They're all included in the same subscription so it's not like you can't play all of them--but you'll have an easier time getting into retail

Hi, I am lvl 8 renown with Dragonscale, I'm trying to grind rep, I recently just learned about the disturbed dirt for x5 rep each.

I bought a bunch of the shovels, they're iny bag...I've flown around a lot and have not seen one disturbed dirt...

Do they appear on the minimap? If so what does the icon look like?

Any ideas why I'm not seeing them? I've read every forum post I could find on disturbed dirt and can't find any other reason for me to not be seeing them.

I even disabled all add-ons (except console port because I'm currently playing on a steam deck) and that didn't seem to help me find any either.
