Is there any drawback to unlearning herbalism then going back to it later? From what i understand you lose all "experience" and go back to 0/100 and no known flowers, but all your spent talent points remain spent.
So it's just the matter of raising it back up to 100, which is just picking flowers for a while. Unlike crafting professions where you lose recipes that you need to learn again

Yeah, do whatever quests you want. There's not going to be a real main quest line until Dragonflight at level 60.

there are "main quests" for each expansion, but unless you're either wanting the mogs or whatever they give as Demo said there's nothing that's an actual "you must do this" until Dragonflight

bear in mind if you're not in Chromie time where everything scales you can eventually outlevel an area and it stops being useful for levelling, and as a new new player you won't have chromie time

so i recently hit level 60 with my demon hunter my first character ever and i can only queue up for BFA dungeons and don't know how to queue up for example shadowlands dungeons. Chromie timeline never worked, since apparently i had to hit level 60 with a character which i did and my lvl 20 deathknight has 0 problems and can jump timelines and go to other dungeons in dungeon finder. I don't know how to participate in Mythic+ dungeons with my lvl 60 one. Dungeon finder is stuck on BFA, Mythic+ i don't know where to go and Raiding i have no clue where to go to raid

Ok, so once you reach level 60, Chromie is disabled for that character. Timewalking via Chromie is only available for level 10-59.
As for Mythic+ dungeons, that's not really a thing anymore at level 60 since that's technically legacy content now. The new expansion (Dragonflight) released a little over a month ago and raised the level cap to 70. That's the now the most active content, and that's where the majority of players are playing currently. This means it'll be very difficult to find level 60 people to run M+ dungeons with. The same goes for raiding.
I guess you could try look for Communities or Guilds that don't play Dragonflight, but I reckon those will be hard to find as well.

I haven't been doing much M+ at all since it was added in 2016; I've always played very casually, doing stuff I enjoy and not worrying about endgame content. As a new player, take your time, learn about the world and what it has to offer, and figure out what you enjoy doing - then focus on doing the type of content you get enjoyment out of

what does tiered gear mean?

Before you do anything, make sure you pick up the “A Savage Path Through Time” quest in Valdrakken,

You can't pick up the quest until 70.

You have 15 or 16 items, so a 50 point increase on one item is only going to raise your average 3 points or so.

As expansions get older you can start to hit the content with less people are your new expansion iLVL far surpasses the system.

Thats from SL so not gonna happen anytime soon, but a 10man can run that a hell of a lot easier now than in the past so look for groups running Castle Nathria under Custom Group Finder

If you go even older (like Legion) you can just solo Mythic 25 stuff yourself and get all the gear from the raid.

For PVP sets once an expansion is done you can buy all the base PVP sets that don't need a ranking for 12 marks of honor for the entire set (transmog). The ones that need ranking you can still get for 12 sometimes, but you'd need to have hit the ranking it wanted.

I actually have that ring that takes you to a random thing in your past you 'may have forgotten' once every 20hrs and it took me to the Emerald Nightmare last night... i hadn't run it in probably a year so i ran through it 25man Mythic (its a Legion raid) and ended up with a transmog piece I didn't have already which was nice.

You'll need to finish the Campaign if you haven't already. More campaign quests unlock with renown.
In addition, there's quests in the Campaign category to get your Sparks of Innovation for crafting purposes.

Aside from that, it's pretty much reputation and end-game activities.

Yeah, if its an alt and you have a 60+ already then just pick an expansion in Chromie time and run it to 60, and then head to DF. WoD is the fastest due to the proximity of quests to each other, but honestly do whatever you feel like.

So it I think has you load up two poisons 24/7 uptime in the rotation (I think that's assassin, right?) and that's one of them.

I tried Subby for a few while leveling, for survivability, and ended up sticking to Outlaw as I got closer to 70. Having come from my main DH (Vengeance while leveling almost exclusive) which can survive a small nuclear explosion... it was a chore getting used to playing Rogue (also had never played Rogue before, but figured seemed like now was the time to waste that level 60 token)

Transmogs are normally acct wide once 'unlocked' but you have to get it on the right type of character first and then that character you want to apply it to has to be able to support that same type.

Like i was missing a few on my Rogue because of daggers and stuff as I never had my Rogue til DF, but it did get all my Leather transmogs and other generic ones (swords, etc) that my DH unlocked w/o issue since both can use them.

Regarding PVP, why am I seeing more top Assassination Rogues run PVP talent Hemotoxin with talent Wound Poison? They don't now stack with eachother do they?

I'm not sure if they stack or not, but my guess is that it's an efficient way to quickly apply the healing reduction debuff in case you switch target/cleave or if it gets cleansed

I checked with the Rogue Discord server.
The effect on Wound Poison is reduced by half in PvP, meaning it's 25% healing reduction when fully applied.
Hematoxin isn't reduced, meaning it's 35% healing reduction in PvP.

So Wound Poison is a good passive 25% healing reduction. Then you apply Hematoxin with Shiv for 35% healing reduction when needed

I have 2 questions:
#1: I need some help with my Evoker. Sometimes when I cast an empowered spell, let's use Fire Breath for example, Sometimes I can click the button once and it'll auto cast at level 1, sometimes I click it once and it charges to full and then casts it, other times I'll hold it to try to get it powered up and it'll auto cast at level one, even with me holding it, and lastly sometimes I click and hold it but I have to release and click it again to make it go off on the level I want. Has anyone had this issue? I've tried clicking with keybinds and with my mouse, it does the same thing on both. I don't use any Macros at all for it and from what I can tell, it's completely random when it happens...

#2: I can't seem to get my camera to follow my character when I start walking and it's EXTREMELY frustrating! I've tried every guide I can find, but nothing is helping. Any ideas?

It's considered legacy content by now since it belongs to an old expansion, meaning you won't be able to find any proper raid groups to run it with. People either play current expansion raids (Dragonflight) or go solo in legacy raids because they can one shot everything in there. I believe you'll want to be L50+ in order to solo a Legion raid, but don't quote me on that.

As an alternative to the Doomblade (Tier 19) set, you could also look into the PvP variant, which can be acquired by collecting Marks of Honor x12 for a complete set. You get them via Battlegrounds; randomly if it's a loss, and guaranteed if it's a win.

Really easy and fast way to farm marks for transmogs

You can get honor from just about any PVP activity including PVP battles, crates, battlegrounds, quests, etc. Easiest way is just queue for PVP in the finder, and if you highlight the box/crate reward it'll tell you the award for winning that type. Plus you have quests you can get in the PVP enclave in the main city that will give you more.

Stats wise... stats are stats, so with the lesser stuff just compare stats. Its when you get into the high tier when you look at gear or set bonus' that start to determine if the bonus applies to a PVP ability or just general.

If you're looking for some stop gap gear and wanting to use PVP turn on WarMode, and look for the PVP quests each week on the world map that award Bloody Tokens. You can get some, I think, 366'ish gear from that not too expensive. Then after that start to save up for the Conquest stuff as thats a leap over the Honor stuff (although its easier to get Honor and upgrade it but your upgrade on honor gear ilvl is lower than Conquest start)

Also any time the talking head pops up about resources look on your map for the little flying icon that looks like a snitch from Harry Potter. That's the PVP crate and first faction to get it when it lands and open it successfully (takes about 10 seconds to 'open' uninterrupted) gets the contents inside and it despawns like a minute or two later. Normally inside its got some honor, conquest, a little bloody token and some regular stuff.

Yeah, its just whether the perks of the 'set' are viable in PVE or PVP actions. The core stats (primary/secondary stats) apply like normal to whatever.

It's honestly not really too hard. I just info dumped. Once you find the enclave (in Valdrakken its just north of the main square the first building to the right down the stairs) just start queuing for PVP stuff, and pickup the quests inside and you can start off on the journey that is PVP

aye, I just spam Mechagon because it's a case of set everything to max > do an HC run on each plus a 25 man on the Raid to try and get Ashes > reset everything and drop to normal and then just spam mechagon till done

was worried i'd need to find a new "fast run" dungeon again since mecha is literally "run in, go right, drag everything to boss, nuke, drag everything upstairs to next boss, nuke, go up lift and nuke round to Calc > leave / yak to sell / repeat" so fast for the rep runs

Ok ty. For spider in raid I use spirit walk since it removes them weebs X) and even in heroic don't need the mobility for anything else (oneshotted it yesterday)

aye, it's so handy. that macro saves me so much time and hassle with S Priest because the build in question pretty much uses Sear when there's AOE work, spike on proc and Flay otherwise

Mechanar is the best tabard rep farm tho as it's short and packed with mobs

If you pace yourself well, you'll never hit the 10 instances per hour limit

my problem with farming one dungeon though is i tire of the same scenery easily so i have to keep moving when doing my rep farms

TBC is not too bad because dungeons are closely packed together each is different enough. I'm also hunting tmogs that i don't have so knowing i can go do all legacy dungeons whilst rep farming is pretty good for me. How long have the rep tabards been that way? because i must be going off of old knowledge XD

60, and unless you're already most of the way there I honesty advise don't bother

they don't give XP any more and are literally just a way of saving time with swapping gear in and out now

especially when you start realising that you're gonna need 4 sets of armour pieces plus multiple weapons then for things like rings that's either expansion content farming or similar stuff just to get a usable selection

depends who you ask and if we're talking endgame or levelling?

levelling I'd say mine/herb since it's free mats for later and xp while levelling
endgame I'd say either Eng/Alchemy like most others or Tailoring/something else

RP? could be anything, I know someone that RPs as a Arcane Smith so has BS and mining

and if new probably one crafting and one gather that supports it at endgame if not doing AH then

I still don't know much about classes like mage since I have like 5 level 60 characters and they're all either death knight or warrior lol

that works since you'll get Enchanting mats from breaking down trash loot, cloth is a passive gather thing and Tailoring will get you armour for your class

pretty self sufficient if that's what you're aiming for

What level do mythic keys start to become timed? I have a backlog of dungeon quests and the last time I tried one in a mythic, it didn't complete because I was supposed to loot the quest item from a boss which didn't happen as we were on a timed +6 and with Halls of Infusion needed for this week's spark quest, it got me wondering.

Halls of infusion isn't a mythic+ dungeon this season

And you can always queue for mythic (aka mythic 0, or regular mythic), normal or heroic
