In the text chat yes, if there are others around. Voice chat, others have to join it and most WoW players dont use the in-game voice chat as Discord is better for their own needs.

Hi All.. Question. My buddy and i just started Shadowlands. We are in a group with quest syncing. We went through the whole opening storyline together sharing successes etc and now that we've exited into the firt are city or hub we cant see each other anymore in the game. We can see on map the others dots and are picking up the same quests with the same storyline but arent seeing each other or sharing the rewards. What give?

Just upset most of the store mounts are so unique. Like the Heart of the Aspects. That's the coolest dragon mount in game. Easily.
