Tournequit is faster than the bandage, its more for times when you are heavily bleeding from multiple spots.

You can apply a tourniquet way faster than a bandage. It will slow down bleeding, so if you're in a tight spot or hit in multiple places just put that on until you're safe, then you can stop the bleeding with bandage. You can then remove tourniquet for reuse

Radio tower extends the signal, if they have bases around that are still within range - their connection is not interrupted when the radio is dismantled.

Either way, the ability to spawn on a base which is contested (currently being seized) is getting removed in the next updates.

walk up to the arsenal and one of the options should be "save loadout"
be careful if you do it in conflict though as that will make each of your spawns cost way more than the default 20 supplies

This is exactly why you carry C4 around. Plant it on the front of the vehicle and if someone tries to steal it just set the charge to a 20 second fuse and let them drive away. The noise from the explosion will carry far haha.

If your renting an arma server from a hosting provider, you don't need arma on your PC. You'll need to go to your hosting provider and there should be a place where you can configure the server. It should have a section with mods = []

Essentially they have a system in place, and the attacker has effectively infinite time to try and breach it. If they fail, then nothing happens, but if they get lucky and break through, then suddenly it seems like BI just has no ddos protection and anyone can just boot up a few pcs and go crazy on them

If you go to the training and go to the airfield it teaches you how to fly the helicopter. You can enter the helicopter and fly it without activating the "training". From there you can tweak controls or key binds and practice.

In the training. You have to compete a few of the items before it will open up. Once it does save you spot and you can go back and do it over and over.
I've had a 100 successful flights but only two landing where I didn't crash..
Practice is a good thing before you commit to it in the game and kill a few players

right, if it dont have anything with player connecting in the log, it means that game cant be connected to, be that cause of the firewall or routing.

Ensure that you have allowed inbound traffic to game by firewall. By Default it should ask you and if you clicked OK. you should be set.
For forwarding check that your local IP matches the one of your PC (you can check by ipconfig in cmd) and that port that is forwarded is 2001

If we are curious i can try hosting a listen server and see if you can connect to it.

unless youve set your IP to static for that specific PC, your router freely delegates that IP on first come, first serve basis.
And it can just so happen that your pc always got it. I think lease time is like 24h, and if you dont turn it on during that time, some other device can yoink it

I’ve been playing for only a few weeks and the game is cool, but I’ve been really struggling to get kills or even see the enemy before I get killed. I can’t even tell where I’m getting shot from. Does it eventually get easier to spot them or am I just going to be 1 shot from miles away from someone laying in a bush forever?

It gets easier, i had the same issue in the beginning. You start getting better at spotting movement but the big thing is you start learning where the enemy is most likely to be. I still occasionally take a round that seemingly came out of the sky, but 90% of the time im able to spot the enemy after they open fire at the very least

Utilize the double tap r1 feature. That has allowed me to spot the enemy when I wouldn’t have been able to see them before. Combine that with using your sound cues. And increase your map memorization/knowledge. And you will be able to start recognizing everything more clearly.

That is not in in the base game. Modded servers can have suppression effects but vanilla does not.

If your screen is getting blurry it's not that you are being shot at - that means you are hit. And no, you can't turn off injury/impact effects.

Likely one of three things... missing when you think you are hitting (complete miss or grazing shots), armor protection on some hits, or desync due to superb network code in the game. The 5.56 round itself works fine. At 200+m, an accuratey placed shot to the head requires just one shot. Two to three otherwise. Going to ask maybe a noob question, How does the spawns on bases work? For example I was taking Montignac removed the relay station and living quarters leaving small vehicle and fuel depots left, I thought I was safe then someone spawns in and domes me 😂 I was told by someone removing them stops them spawning in? 🤷🏼‍♂️

As long as the bases have supply they can spawn in. Removing antenna reduce their ability to "connect" to main base (the red line you see on the map). So if it's disconnected they can't spawn in. If it still connected, and the base have supplies, they can spawn in

Hello everyone. Any tips on how to save progression on Conflict PVE hosted locally? I've tried using Local Host Saving mod (https://reforger.armaplatform.com/workshop/5E634E115BDFED31-LocalHostSaving) but it doesn't work. I think I could add the command -loadSessionSave to the server.bat file, but I'm not sure it creates a file for local host. Doesn anyone have any tips on this?

Access violation means there's an issue with memory. This does not mean it's hardware related, but is usually caused due to old/broken drivers, other software preventing access to memory (like anti-virus) or broken game files (stuff can get corrupt once in a while).

Things you can try:

• verify the game files with Steam (in case a file got corrupt)
• restart the computer (it really does wonders)
• check/update drivers (especially GPU)

If you have another drive, create a “addons” folder. You can name it whatever you want, except if you were to use a sym link tool like Link Shell Extension. In that case it’s recommended to be identical.

Copy all your mods from your C:\username\mygames\arma reforger\addons folder and paste into your new “addons” folder you just created.

In Steam > Right Click Reforger > Properties and in the Launch Options field enter the following so the path shown matches the path where you moved the addons folder.

(EXAMPLE. Change to location of your choice)

-addonsDownloadDir H:\addons -addonsDir H:\addons

It will now look for and install mods in that new location.

If for some reason that doesn’t work, you can use a free tool like Link Shell Extension to create a symbolic link. This was a tool I used for storing A3 mods to another drive.

Setup a server for a user here earlier today for him and a few friends to play GM. But when he tried to join it by direct join IP:port rerouted him into a WCS server and told him to download mods. My server doesn't have any mods. Think he gave up so I opened it back up without a password. Thought it was weird. Maybe he didn't do the direct join correctly, dunno.

It's not a problem exclusive to the Americans or the Russians, it's more an issue with the players and their lack of understanding as to how the game is meant to be played; there was one game where I took down a guy in an ambush and he had 11 RPGs, 21 RPK magazines, four frag grenades, and 10 bandages/morphine syrettes.

The issue consists mainly of two parts. The first part is that, outside of Squad, there's really nothing like ARMA out there and Reforger is the most accessible the series has ever been, so as a result, there has been a rather large influx of more casual refugees players from the ongoing train wrecks of CoD and Battlefield with a noticeable quantity of disaffected players coming from Squad and Hell Let Loose (with the latter two are on the PC side, obviously). The second part is that Reforger is the first ARMA title to offer cross play with consoles, and I don't think it's hyperbole to say that Playstation or Xbox simply do not have anything remotely like ARMA in their pantheon, so a lot of the players from console are playing the game like the shooters they understand, which is to say the likes of Battlefield or CoD.

As a result of these issues, ARMA now has this population of new players who are, by and large, completely unused to the level of depth ARMA offers; as a result, they instead put things into perspective with the lens they are familiar with and utilize the increased accessibility of the new interface to create one-man-army kits such as they are used to using from the shooters they know.

My impression is that this problem is mostly endemic with the current patch as BI has made several notable changes in patch 1.3 that are likely to be very effective at mitigating or outright eliminating the symptoms of the situation. Chief among these would be the locking of many weapons behind rank, preventing players from spawning on a point while it is being captured, and causing you to lose rank if you kill while wearing an enemy uniform.

Yes, you are right that it is a sandbox and people can play how they like. However there are still ways to be smart and stupid with how your team plays.. if I go with a basic loadout with 5-7 AR/AK mags, a few frags, smokes, bandies and what not, I spawn and take maybe ~20 supplies. Now, the person spawning with and RPK with 20 drum mags, RPG with 20 rockets, 6 frag, uber number of bandies, etc etc etc, each spawn is gonna cost like 100-200+ supplies which is going to kill the team in the long run

you need to open the following ports TCP and UDP are different from eachother

and depending if you need them outbound or inbound,

27031-270367 is a range based so it means u need all ports between those and including those to be opened on udp so a total of 6 ports

Combo router/modem? It there anything on the bottom (sticker) that has an "admin" "password" displayed? I know on a Netgear Router there is a sticker and the user is admin and password is password, and you setup the router through an app, but you can also login via a browser http://192.168.1.1 from a machine connected on the local network. I also have spectrum but use my own modem and router so I don't know what kind of equipment they use nowadays. If you are on fiber then you will need to check to see if you're behind a cgnat setup, which will cause headaches trying to host.

The only ports you really need forward for an Arma Reforger server are UDP 2001 and 17777. These two will get you up and running. These ports should be forwarded to the IP of the game server i.e. 192.168.1.10 or whatever it is.

@dark basin I ended up figuring it out, The formatting was odd on the app page, but the answer was exactly as it was alluded to earlier. I had to manually add each port as both the internal and external port under their various protocols. However, it did work. So despite the headache, objective was achieved.

in general thats a result of the mods themselves being somewhat limited on account of the mod tools being unfinished. I know that in a lot of those mods, only certain helmets can accept NVGs and even then only certain NVGs will be compatible with certain helmets due to a lack of compat patches, presumably due to the TOS disallowing interactions/asset sharing between mods from different authors, but I would ask somebody in the server to drop you their loadout most times to avoid issues.

It depends on the gear. Some helmets come with it built in. Some need you to go into edit mode and add it as attachment (like you do when you change the receiver and handguard skin with my m4). Some add nvg into dedicated face slot.

I had only spawned into a game and two friends i didn't know team killed me while I was getting basic ammo to get started (they were kitted out & there was plenty of supplies at the base).
I respawned and went up to him saying what he did wasn't right. Basically what happened next was him and 3 of his friend's around me started using leprechaun insults (I'm Irish - they're English) and laughing and shot me as they were doing it. I know it's just a game but it honestly felt like a hate crime of sorts lol
If you saw my screen recording of it happening you'd probably understand.

I again respawned and went up to them again. Basically it ended up with a bunch of English lads insulting me for being Irish -

I use my own Linux PCs for hosting. I have one setup with Debian 12 thats been going for a while, and another with Ubuntu Server that I setup yesterday. I'm comfortable doing everything via ssh. If you are comfortable with installing OSs you could slap on an apt based linux distro on an old/spare PC and give it a try. Installing the Arma Reforger server on Linux is very easy using some basic text scripts. Ubuntu Server was very straightforward and didn't need to anything special to install steamcmd. Debian 12 requires editing the sources list. Depending on your network setup it can be easy there also to setup a static IP for the server.

I'd like to setup a Queue on my server, i saw the "joinqueue" variable + size in the doc, but should i put it after my modlist or somewhere else in the JSON?
