Yes, you can offer training courses and such but it shouldn't be required to have e-ranks to play roles. It should be based on merit.
If you screw up the role then you get rolebanned.

In my unit we have ranks (just to indicate how active someone is, or if that person has a managing role), and we "lock" in-game roles based on experience in that field.
Eg. You should first show that you know how to use AT before you can play LAT during deployments, and you need experience in that before picking up MAT/HAT roles.

And it's not to limit people from playing (many automated systems are in place for that), but to ensure that people actually know what they're doing before crashing a helicopter full with people because they never flown before

If you want Zeus, start a local server in the game and choose one of the Zeus scenarios for Altis.

Or start with Altis in the Eden Editor completely empty, and add the Zeus modules to it. There are guides for that on Youtube and such.

X contains all the older Arma games + bonuses like the soundtracks/maps/concept art, etc. The games include Cold War Assault (the great granddaddy of the series when it was originally known as Operation Flashpoint), Armed Assault and Arma 2. All DLCs are included in the case of A2.

A3 on the other hand is a standalone game with no DLCs unless you buy them as well. However, the base game has more than enough content even without the DLCs. Whatever you feel is missing can be supplemented or replaced by mods on the Workshop as well.

Go to #hardware_vs_arma if you want advice on that. But IMO a GTX 1030 is pretty underpowered and A3's official specs aren't really...up to date to say the least.

In multiplayer menu, go server browser, start a server. But you need to port forward in your router UDP ports 2302-2306 unless you get lucky and the UPNP checkmark works good enough.

4. Antistasi Ultimate based on Plus, readded stuff removed in plus and added other stuff. Has more fun systems but less balanced and less realistic

Where Antistasi population (abstracted in numbers on a map) starts to support you with money and HR (number of AI you can spawn) when you kill enemies (occupying or invading faction) and do missions at certain map markers. In Vindicta you need to talk to people to get them into a rebelling mindset. And this starts to snowball in the town you are in. Then you need to supply them with weapons and they become your army to capture the island over time.

Arma 4 is supposed to be using the same engine so it will be possible to port the mods, just like you can do the same with All previous Arma titles to Arma 3 (RV engine), I guess. But regarding it being easy or not it's hard to tell

I’m looking into Arma 3, and I just have a question. So I know that you can do co-op missions with 3 people, but can you do modded co-op missions with 3 people? As in can I have a 3 player co-op mission that’s Halo themed or something?

limit of people you can play with is defined by the mission itself, so it can be 3 or 12 or 128, but no more than the number of slots created. And missions can be played with mods but they have to be designed for these mods first. As in, if you choose some Vietnam coop scenario it won't magically turn into Halo if you load with such set of mods

if your Halo mod has factions properly configured and DRO can detect them then they should work, although do be aware that units with custom skeletons (like Spartans or anything looking different than the regular man) won't show up either on enemy side or for you to play as

you can always download both DRO and the Halo mod and see for yourself. And there are probably hundreds of coop scenarios available on Workshop

It works great, but at random times, the game may freeze when I speak and can only be turned off by force. This is annoying, because when you go into the game you start all over again on the server. OFP is just 910 MB (this is with the official 1.99+ patches applied) so it should comfortably fit in any modern USB stick.

Some randomized patrols here and there you often don't even see because they spawn deep in the jungle, there are some defences and checkpoints placed around but never manned, almost every place is empty with exception of the hideouts or specific places you have to visit during a mission.

you can use one of the TPW mods to have it plop civilians around, could also spawn enemies but DZ:V does not feature custom factions so you would probably end up with NVA and Americans running around. And there's a possibility it would just break scripting.
