Does anybody else often notice Comet has a bit of trouble clearing inputs? It's the one thing I notice. Otherwise it performs very impressively.

I'm on Windows if that makes any difference.

For example, I was getting it to do my food shopping based off my last order and it does the task almost perfectly except when it had to adjust quantities.

If it has to change a quantity from 1 to 2, it will end up changing it to 21 or 12. It doesn't clear the box first. I was able to get around that by telling it to use the [+] and [-] buttons on the website, but sometimes it forgot to do that.

I notice this same pattern on other sites too. I'm sure this is something that they're aware of! But just mentioning it regardless.

(Something I also tried was telling it to press backspace 5 times, delete 5 times and then enter the text. And also using "Select All" inside the input and then Delete, though I'm not sure if that's a good idea 😆)

Hmm, there is also a quirk in Comet with handling empty inputs:

If you ask it: "Can you complete the first test?"

It simply doesn't see the first input because the value is blank. It acts as if there is no input there. It will either tell you it can't see it, or it will end up filling the second input instead.

However, if you restart the Assistant and change the first input box to say 5 (before asking it to complete the first test), it will successfully identify the input, but then you get the appending quirk - at least on Windows.

At first I thought it was my layout, but then I changed it to a super simply layout, as seen here, and it still occurs.

It's funny how Comet can do this crazy stuff, but it can have trouble with this 😆

I cant lie to you, Ive never leveraged Perplexity for code. Its a search engine tool primarily with the exception of Labs.

I dont see it as a downgrade of the product. Some things cost more to the business and there has to be a cost offset somewhere. Clearly 20.00 a month isnt enough for certain models.
