I'm still constantly getting sync issues between different computers. In my case, both of them are MacBook Pros, and there are just weird issues where I make changes to bookmarks on laptop number one that end up getting reverted to a frozen state from a couple of days ago. They actually never get translated to laptop, to the point where the only fix is I have to delete the sync and start it all over again after I've made all the updates and changes to the bookmarks that I want to sync over.

I don't see any perplexity answers just blocking "for spamming", But I've had a few issues I won't bore everyone with, since my dealings with perplexity since the beginning. But I can use perplexity as my home page in my original browser and be happier. I stuck with Comet FOR BROWSER CONTROL. It's tits. I upgraded (and I don't pay for AI when the landscape is competitive get almost anything free, even before diving too far into opensource, and for sure with edge opensource) FOR BROWSER CONTROL. There's no documentation that I can find about limits for me to even then ration my use of it. Just a "Surprise, your out. I don't know how long. Or a way to get more. You can try enterprise, buuuut we can't guarantee how much browser control you'll get for the price of your left testy."

Yeah, it's definitely pretty difficult to get a hold of anyone on the actual Perplexity team to deal with any specific issues or give you solid answers. The Comet Mobile Discord channel does have one or two employees that will usually try to assist with mobile-specific issues, in my experience, and when it first released they were even more responsive. Overall, Perplexity isn't known for being very communicative.

As to limits I don’t know, I’ve never actually run into any limits. Going open source and running locally is the move if you have the GPU to run it. No point sticking with anything that doesn’t work for you.

A few weeks ago I started getting the "upgrade to Max" things for the first time when using agentic functions as I used to be a regular user of that. As far as I can tell we only get two or three agentic uses per day and then it resets, so I rewrote some prompts (shortcuts) to not do any agentic stuff and haven't seen that notice since. Haven't found documentation about limits for the $20/month plan but did find Enterprise Pro has a monthly limit of 80/month for $40/month though I don't plan to upgrade to that.

Just super nice for clicking, prompting, and moving on while it handled UI specific tasks. But I would have, for instance, moved the contiued chat when it didn't involve browser use istead of asking it to answer something it didn't need the browser for and having it trigger the blue glow for 2 seconds and then respond. I only needed the context not the browser use half the time. Just thought Pro got me unlimited. Thx again though, I appreciate you guys.🙏

A note on billing integrity, platform accountability, and user trust:

Perplexity support confirmed that my Samsung-provided Pro subscription was active at $0.00 and valid through June 22, 2026.

Despite that confirmation, I received repeated $10.70 billing attempts. I reported the issue, submitted proof, and support acknowledged that the discrepancy was real and had been escalated.

What followed was not remediation. What followed was regression.

My account was progressively degraded through reduced usage allowances, reduced tool access, and now a full reversion to free tier before the confirmed expiration date.

To be precise: Perplexity confirmed the entitlement, acknowledged the billing contradiction, and still removed the service anyway.

That moves this beyond a simple billing error. It becomes a question of billing integrity, account handling, and organizational accountability.

I have invested substantial time, feedback, goodwill, and public-facing engagement into the broader Perplexity ecosystem. The result has been repeated attempted charges, reduced functionality, and no meaningful corrective action.

I am posting this publicly because transparency matters, and because documented failures deserve visible accountability.

I would also like to hear from other Perplexity users, especially Samsung promotional users:

• have you seen unexplained billing attempts
• have your quotas or tools been reduced unexpectedly
• were you pushed back to free tier early
• what response or remediation did you receive

This is the first ever issue I've had with Perplexity, apart from this mass issue that alot of us are facing, I find perplexity incredibly useful and handy in my day to day life as well as in my profession. that being said, I am very annoyed by this situation; how they are handling it, and the false promises of resolution or "transfering you to the billing dept". I do trust perplexity and the team behind it, so I have faith they will resolve this issue eventually and when it is resolved I will continue to use the service. If this issue was to be a re-occuring problem for many users I'd walk away at that point, but for right now Perplexity is the easiest and most cost effective service that allows me access to so many different AI's and features that other AI services just don't match (to my knowledge)

I see people asking about experiences. I've been using comet browser with pro account since it came out. Use it daily for my perplexity questions and every so often for web searches ever since it came out. I find that I can run out of automations pretty quickly but it does handle a lot on its own before the limit just wish there was more allowed since I am a monthly subscriber!
For example I have give to Amazon and told it what im looking at/for and it will search multiple pages to find best price or quality and give recommendations.
Even had it try starting a new blank WordPress site after it looked at a live website to recreate. It created an entire page but was not the best. So then I had it try again by making it tell the builder website what prompts the builder ai should use. Finally got a crappy starting point I could use for now but it ran out of monthly automations before finalizing uhg.
Another thing I used it for but ran out of prompts yet again, was configuring a firewall router! I pulled up the original model settings in one tab and the new router settings in another tab. Completely different look and model. Told it to migrate the settings from old to new. It auto created the VPN settings and reentered the user names, then told me the temp password it set for them! It was going to set the IP addresses but had to stop it since it was not on site yet. Then I ran out of quarries and had to ask it step by step questions to manually configure the rest of the security features.

I will say watching it do its thing automatically is extremely impressive, almost to the point of scary with how accurately it worked. That router in the end was able to plug and play and with out any modifications, came right up and VPN users were able to connect in with out issue once they got their new passwords.

Lastly, I refuse to save any kind of user names or passwords and do not trust giving it access to most my sites or accounts as there are too many changes too fast, and with the loopholes I've heard about in the past like commands generated within website images to control ai browsers, no way im willing to save account info that would allow it access without my manual input!

Hope this info helps people understand some capabilities of the comet browser and subscription by hearing ways I have put it to use.

Guys, the way you lot at Perplexity are messing comet up breaks my heart. Why d'you have to keep touching what's not broken. I want to split my window without having in it that one tab thingy and no matter what it locks both tabs into one. Is anyone else having serious issue with comet CPU utilization getting very high on Mac (MacBook pro 2024, 36GB) ? I always work with something like 50 tabs open at once (most of them are sleeping obvisouly) , which was not a problem when using Chrome or Brave . I have no idea whether that's part of the problem but thought I should mention it. The end result is that my CPU utilization raises to 100% after a few hours or days, which was not the case before. When I look at CPU usage inside the browser, it comes from either tabs open on a Perplexity query (which I can manually close) or from other tabs that say just "Tab: Perplexity" over which I have no control. It goes up to a point where my only solution is to close Comet and restart it. Anyone else in this case with possible solutions?

I just told Comet to oversee the build and when Replit got stuck to push it on and integrate and fix it.

I just joined to ask the same question. I do see random issues but specifically a new Comet window will open up on a regular basis as if someone pressed Ctrl+N or choose New Window from the menu. I can leave my laptop on and come back hours later and there will be a half dozen new Comet windows open.

Hey Mindx, you are not alone! I am with Debian 13, LXQt DE and Firefox 140.10 browser. When try to upload image it appear like a colored field. But! If you try to upload it as support message - it looks fine! I.e. "parsers" are different. One works fine, other have a problem.

P.S. I see that this is mobile platform, but the Web front-end behave in the same manner.

Is there any way to stop Comet from incessantly requesting that I set Comet as the default browser on MacOS? I've been a Pro subscriber for the better part of a year, and I use Comet by default on my personal devices. However, I also have Comet on my work laptop which I use strictly for personal things on my work laptop--I use a different browser for work things, and suffice it to say I have a good reason to not make Comet my default browser on work laptop. This combined with nonstop pushing Computer (I have Claude & ChatGPT Enterprise, I have no use-case for computer) is really irritating me when I'm already a faithful subscriber...

Think Claude was able to brute-force to the Perplexity-specific flags that control this behavior and effectively disable the banner. Fingers crossed. Comet team, it'd be great if you could add a flag. I love your product but its product behavior like this that pushes me to look for alternatives. Maybe your "dismissed count" and "shown count" flags aren't working because they were blank for me.

Finally uninstalled Comet for Windows. Images on my desktop load incredibly slow and I’ve tried using Perplexity to help troubleshoot but nothing. Also in the last few days it always loads repeated pages on startup no matter what I select for the option. Comet is just not prime time yet.

Sounds like Comet isn’t stable yet those slow loads and startup bugs usually point to app-level issues, not your PC. Uninstalling was the right call if it was affecting system performance.
