I have a question, if you can help me please, Perplexity put the Gemini 2.5 Flash Image Preview (Nano Banana) which I liked the delivery, consistency and quality, but I like the generation and style of the images of gpt-image-1, how do I use gpt image 1 to generate a specific image and then choose for Nano Banana in another request? Is there a way for me to select/choose the model that I want to generate the image?

Imagine this: Claude has all the knowledge, all the data for X business, acting like a second brain and he knows about the orchestration with comet, he knows that he will be talking with comet (Yes, I refer to claude and comet as actual "entities").

CA means Comet Agent
CB means Claude as brain

CA is inside claude's tab and does what CB says (Research and deliver X thing for example).
CA sends the results to CB
CB sends the feedback/approves/denies
CA gets to work again.
Repeat.

All this until achieving X task succesfully.

Current Fix:

I’ve been using the Perplexity API with the Sonar-Deep-Research model for a while with the following setup:

Until recently, this worked fine — I would get search_results along with citations in the content (e.g., [citation index]).

But now, I’m still getting the final report, just without any search_results or inline citations.

Interestingly, this issue doesn’t happen when I use the Sonar-Pro model — only with Sonar-Deep-Research.

Has anyone else run into this recently? Is it a bug/change on Perplexity’s side, or am I missing something in my setup?

Hello everyone, and please excuse me in advance. I am using a translator. I have been very upset since yesterday. Yesterday I went to the website labs.perplexity.ai, where my favorite models were available: Sonar Reasoning Pro and Sonar Reasoning. Everything worked perfectly. There were no limits, and, surprisingly, it was all free. The models could handle more than 5000 lines of code and answer the necessary questions within seconds. The code was shown in full along the edges. Everything worked beautifully.
But unfortunately, since yesterday, the site started redirecting to perplexity.ai, where, in order to access the lab, you need to pay for a subscription. I rushed and paid. That in itself is no big deal, and on the bright side, I got to know Perplexity Pro. But I am very disappointed. Since I am redirected from labs.perplexity.ai to perplexity.ai, it would be logical to see the familiar and necessary models there. But instead, all the models I need are missing. And the code output in Perplexity Pro, with a horizontal scroll bar to see the left and right sides—seriously?? ((

I just started using Perplexity today (got Pro because of a promo) and was immediately frustrated with the outputs. I’ve been using free Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT and was really underwhelmed with Perplexity’s answers even when they were about itself. Once I figured out I could switch the model with the control on the chat box, I suddenly started getting higher quality that matched my expectations. I don’t know what the default was or what its strength might be, but I’ve been much happier since customizing the model to what I’m aiming for (eg. Claude when I want rich written suggestions).

are you telling it to first run a search for today’s date? and plenty of news sites build the pages to always appear newly published, so maybe get more specific that the recency pertains to the event being reported. you could also provide links to your preferred news sites’ breaking news/today’s paper/rss page and ensure its most recent articles are pulled and the events double-checked for recency. their default task prompt seems under-engineered but maybe it’s just repetitive enough to do the job “What are today's most important and widely-discussed news stories? Focus on: 1) Breaking news and major developments 2) Viral stories getting significant attention 3) Notable events affecting many people 4) Surprising or unusual stories gaining traction.”

Still trying to navigate Perplexity (MacOS app) and downloading the excel compatible .CSV 'file' it gives.

When I click it, it opens a daughter page with the content on it, but only way to save is as a 'web page' in html

Clicking 'download' in the web version of perplixity doesn't download anything.

This is using both 'best' and 'research' models under pro license

I emailed the new email assistant on my Mac sub. Within minutes the assistant@perplexity address he caught onto two messages and sent out over 700 messages back to me and over we think around 2400 out to people in two email chains I’m on—both involved email chains with distribution groups and a zendesk address. I've only just started using Perplexity within the last couple of days. A friend recommended it for an unrelated use case to my normal use, which is programming. I was wondering if there are any plans in the works for a coding assistant similar to Claude Code, which I use rather extensively alongside ChatGPT.

My other use case is research-related, specifically for 2 disparate use cases. One, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning research (like https://arxiv.org/ papers related to the fields), and second, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus research. (I have it, so I try to keep up on research related to it)

I believe the main drive of Perplexity, as I understand it, would help me better target my two last stated uses through using Spaces. It was the coding assistant usage that I was more wondering about.

Hello, I'm having trouble getting started with the API. My account seems unable to access any models.

I've confirmed my setup is correct, but every model I try is rejected with a 400 invalid_model error.

What I've already done:

• Generated a new API key.
• Confirmed my API key is being sent correctly with my requests.
• Added a payment method to my account today.
• Tried the following models, and all of them fail with the same "Invalid model" error: llama-3-sonar-large-32k-online, llama-3-sonar-small-32k-online, and llama-3-sonar-small-32k-chat.
