I was quite surprised (and I don't know if it was already possible before), but I'm from Belgium and you can create an account for the "console" and the API, but that only offers the raw experience. It doesn't replace Perplexity at all and none of the great features Perplexity provide !

Hi. I discovered Perplexity this morning via a YouTube video and I LOVE it! I have been trying to find a decent method to upload large PDF files and have them summarized by AI and so far, Perplexity is up to the task. Also for fun, I found the title of a book that was published in the 1800s that I have been trying to find for years, but couldn't remember the title. Perplexity is awesome! Will have questions down the road but for now, am thoroughly enjoying playing with it.

Hi, I'm a software developer in Germany and fascinated with AI since Ray Kurzweil's book "The Singularity is near" from 2005. And man, is it near right now, about 20 years later. I'm following a lot of AI content online and tried a bunch of AI tools by now. I really like the newest Claude 3 models and since Perplexity provides those (also in the EU) is was a sure bet that I was gonna get access to it. So far I really like it.

I'm HungArian, we don't have much options regarding AI over here in Europe. Claude and Gemini are/were not available.
Just started using Perplexity today, transitioning from my previous use of ChatGPT Plus. I've already used it for code refinement tasks, and I'm quite impressed with its capability to utilize the web for sourcing external library information and incorporating that into its responses. This feature has certainly exceeded my expectations.
However, I've encountered a few challenges, particularly with the image generation feature. Unlike my preference for multiple images, it generates only a single image. Additionally, when searching for locations, it falls short of providing direct links to Google Maps or offering (reliable) insights into the place's ratings, which could enhance the overall usefulness of the service.
Despite these minor setbacks which I feel like I just have very-high expectations, my overall experience has been very positive, and I'm intrigued to see how the platform evolves, it did manage to totally suck me in.

I'm someone who got into Ai when chatgpt rolled out a few years ago and have never stopped learning about it, experimenting with it, and wanting to pursue it. Originally with a bachelor's in Marketing, and a decades worth of cust service/sales/marketing, I want to pursue a career in AI. I want to use Perplexity Pro to leverage LLM partnerships with Claude, OpenAI, and others to learn more about new developments and research boot camp solutions and opportunities for me to dive deeper into and turn my interest into a certification, and potentially, a new career opportunity within tech.
After being subbed to ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini going from each one back and forth for testing and learning, swapping to Perplexity seems like the best choice for my utility. I was into image gen and video gen stuff with MJ, RunwayML, and DALLE but havent messed with those services as much as the text models.
Looking for entry level job opportunities in tech here in the US, advice for bootcamp reccomendations to up skill in tech for AI based roles and guidance, and learning how to best use Perplexity for my needs!

Filing motions or simple things like modification of child support should not require thousands of dollars in legal fees. The courts in Nashville are not friendly to pro se participation. Typically, filing simple motions require the retention of a lawyer for thousands of dollars and they want a credit card which they can bill on an ongoing basis. I know they’re exceptions to this. The rule is that the lawyers are milking people of limited Income. This needs to change.

I just signed up for Raycast Pro, it was really nice to see the deal for 6 months free of Perplexity Pro (btw they write 3 months in the email). I was thinking about using Perplexity before this, as I often use a mix of DDG and then feeding AI with relevant questions, so why not combine these two things? So let's see if I stick with this even after the deal is over

I believe I found Perplexity because it was one of the potential default search engines available for the Ark Browser beta for Windows (no comment on the 'full release state' lol). Hi, I am giving Perplexity Pro a try. I work in research and have been using ChatGPT, but was really intrigued by Perplexity, as it seems to be more research oriented. Thus far, I am liking that Perplexity gives much more in depth responses with clear citations for each statement, and has the ability to organize chats. I am not yet entirely sure if it was replace chatGPT for me (missing easy image generation and some other GPTs that I use), but so far it's looking like it might.

I don't speack very well english (I have learn in the street not at school). I have tried the api for to learn and i pass the step for to come here. I'm very noob, unpretentius and without trust. I'm not sure to understand what can i do with perplexity. Acctualy for me, is a chat boot whit search, but i will try to understand. I creat a piece of code for api not very complete and not very strong for the first time in python. I will use it for learn and excercice. I work 2 days per week like home care assistant and 2 days for a business with Odoo. I work for my pleasure on code, html, css (i now... is not "code") and i try python. Voilà.
