Android it doesn't have the same features like personalization and search in the news feed, as it does on iOS. I wish they would update Android with new features to match iOS. I feel the Android experience is more restricted.

I really miss some desktop features in the Android app, especially the ability to use connectors (for example, to trigger actions in Notion). In addition, the @ command is much more useful on the web version, where it allows citing sources and spaces. I also miss the / shortcuts a lot.

Because of these limitations, I disabled the app from opening links by default and created a shortcut to the Perplexity website (desktop version) so I can actually work using my workflows on my phone.

Is there any roadmap or timeline for making these features available in the Android app?

I've been using Perplexity AI on both desktop and mobile, and while the mobile version is convenient, it feels incomplete compared to the desktop experience.

What’s really missing is the ability to customize memory settings and manage connectors. On desktop, these features make Perplexity incredibly powerful — letting me integrate files, connect external data sources like Google Drive, and control how the assistant remembers context. On mobile, none of this is available, which makes it far less useful for serious research or ongoing projects.

Another major limitation is the lack of personalization options. On desktop, I can personalize my assistant and adjust how it interacts with me. The mobile app doesn’t offer this flexibility, so it feels less like “my” assistant and more like a generic chatbot.

It would be great if future updates brought these advanced customization and personalization features to mobile. Right now, the mobile version is fine for quick queries but doesn’t match the power or adaptability of the desktop experience.

I just used Android app for the first time, feature rise it is behind IOS app, there are some bugs like not being able to delete prompts, no "add to followup" feature, these are major misses, especially the "add to followup" feature doesn't follow the functional methods that are available in Chrome browser and Comet, not sure what is happening behind the scene's here but being a 25 year veteran of corporate IT departments, something is not right and likely it is leadership on these projects from my experience, it usually boils down to these people not having the right experience and knowledge needed.

I would like to report some embarrassing translation errors in the italian version of the app: 1) in the articles view the "Report" mode is translated as "Segnala", which is wrong as "segnalare" means "to make a formal statement" and doesn't have the intended meaning of "article": for this you can use the word "Articolo"; 2) in a news title the word "strike" (see attachment) is translated using "sciopero" but this was the wrong meaning of strike, it should have been instead "colpisce"

Perplexity has really helped me over time and I’m enjoying using it a lot. It has become much more mature than before. However, there are some usability issues where the app feels a bit stuttery while scrolling and navigating. It’s not a deal breaker, but improving smoothness and responsiveness would make the overall experience much better. I hope future updates can make the app feel snappier and more fluid to use.

Feature request: perplexity pro has a useful widget on Android phones that enables one tap activation of a new chat session. It also offers option to upload an image. But what it's missing, and I'm requesting, is that you add an option to start new session in voice mode, such that upon tapping it it opens up perplexity in listen mode, then I ask my question, and then perplexity would respond by voice.

I tested the Perplexity Assistant on the Android app (Xiaomi 12T Pro phone). I really liked the Assistant functionality and would like to continue using it. However, the same problem keeps recurring: when I invoke the Assistant via button press or gesture to provide voice input, very often the audio "bars" curve doesn't move and the phone doesn't register my voice query. This most commonly happens after I've been using the Perplexity app for regular queries. The same solution always works through the app settings: FORCE STOP. Then the Assistant functionality is restored. However, I have to do this multiple times per day and it's frustrating, so I temporarily switched back to Google Gemini Assistant, which doesn't have similar problems. Perhaps you could fix this bug so that using the Perplexity app (and having it in the active apps list) doesn't "deafen" the Perplexity Assistant in the Android environment?

Perplexity, I am heartbroken to see the language learning features limited to education users only.

Four years ago, I suffered a severe head injury that altered the trajectory of my life and prevented me from making my move to Japan to study my religion there. I presently experience aphasia and dysgraphia when it comes to Japanese, and although I am recovering, I have been working painstakingly slowly in a society and system that decided I have no problems because the cognitive tests they gave me were all in English.

Perplexity offered me exactly what I needed: Connecting the way something sounds to the way it is written mora-by-mora (syllable-like language components) and the way I spoke it. That feedback loop is demonstrably helpful with my particular type of injury.

I would like to ask that you make it a part of Pro again. Or, perhaps, to develop a disability subaccount flag that can be enabled by reaching out to the company in order to enable that type of feature.

When Pro is provided via Revolut, it’s usually activated through a special partnership link. If Perplexity later asks for a payment method, it often means the Revolut benefit wasn’t properly linked or the session expired.

Since Revolut shows the perk as already redeemed, it means Revolut has done its part correctly. The issue is almost certainly on Perplexity’s account side (email mismatch, expired session, or Pro flag removed.

Feedback about the “New Chat” button on mobile

I’ve noticed something really frustrating in the mobile version of Perplexity (Comet). The “new chat” button — the one with a pencil ✏️ and a plus ➕ — is placed right next to the “send” button. I’ve accidentally tapped it several times when trying to send a question.

When you hit it by mistake, it instantly deletes everything: the message you were writing and the entire conversation. Then you have to dig through the chat history to find it again, which is buried and takes time. It’s honestly quite annoying, especially when you were just about to send a prompt.

I think this design choice doesn’t make much sense. That button’s function isn’t clearly indicated, and its position creates unnecessary errors. It would help a lot if it were moved somewhere else, had a clearer icon or label, or at least showed a confirmation dialog before wiping your chat.

I can’t be the only one this happens to — I’m sure other users have faced the same problem. It’s a small design issue, but it really affects the experience. Hopefully it can be improved soon! 🙏

2. When reading news, I have a tendency to scroll and hold, often reaching the end of the news article. Expected behavior would be that the article stops scrolling when it reaches the end and then no further action until I release my thumb (iOS on 16PM). However the current behavior is that when I reach the bottom of the article and continue to scroll down, the article is "ejected" or "closed" before I release my thumb (or whatever scrolling digit). This is not typical behavior on iOS in other apps, where if I reach the end of an article and scroll past it into the "close" zone, it should not close until I release my thumb. Furthermore, if I do not release my thumb and scroll back up into the article (thereby undoing the potential "close" article action), nothing should happen.. and the article should remain on screen- not closed. The unintended consequence that occurs nearly every time I read a news article in the Perplexity app is that it closes prematurely while I am attempting to continue scrolling, unaware that I have actually reached the end of the scroll view, causing it to close/return to the news list... although I have not yet finished reading the article. I think this is a UI bug.

When you do a normal Google search, Comet create a Perplexity thread in the background even if you don’t want it to. Why? Comet on macOS doesn’t do that. This consumes usage far more than I would want. I want to do normal searches that don’t automatically start a Perplexity search or thread.

I have been using Comet on MacBook portable for a while with great success. Yesterday I installed it on iPhone and iPad with the same credentials but it is not synching. See below:

• Desktop: Comet on portable (macOS/Windows – please fill in which one)
• Mobile: iPad

• Same Perplexity account on both devices (same email and login provider)
Problem
• On desktop Comet, I have existing history, chats, and spaces.
• On iPad Comet:
• I am logged in with the same Perplexity account.
• The app indicates that sync is active / in progress, but:
• I do not see any of the history/chats/spaces from desktop.
• I do not get a 4‑word sync passphrase on iPad when I try to create/join sync.
• I do not see a working “Join Sync” flow where I can enter the 4‑word passphrase from my desktop Comet.
• Result: the iPad Comet instance remains completely “empty” with respect to desktop Comet data, despite same account and sync being shown as enabled.
Actual behavior
• The iPad Comet app shows sync UI / status but:
• Does not expose the 4‑word passphrase or a reliable “Join Sync” field.
• Never attaches to the existing desktop sync chain.
• Therefore, I see no history / chats / spaces from desktop Comet on the iPad, even though the account is identical and sync is supposedly active.
Could you confirm whether full Comet↔Comet sync (including device‑code/chain join) is expected to work on iPad in version 26.11.1, and if so, whether this is a known bug?

I’m a Perplexity Pro/Max user on iOS (iPhone), and I’m trying to connect Perplexity Health to Apple Health, but the app will not prompt me to grant Apple Health permissions.
My account has access to the Perplexity Health dashboard on both mobile and desktop, and I’m eligible for Health features (iOS, U.S., adult). However:
• When I ask health‑related questions, the Apple Health authorization screen never appears.
• In Settings → Health → Connectors, I see the Health dashboard but do not see “Apple Health” as an available connector, so I cannot manually connect it.
• I’ve already checked iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Perplexity and confirmed that Health permissions are allowed, and background app refresh is on for Perplexity.
Even though I clearly meet the requirements (iOS, Pro/Max, U.S.), it seems my account is not yet enabled for Apple Health integration. Please enable Apple Health access for my account so that I can connect my wearable and Health data and see my heart‑rate and activity trends inside Perplexity Health.

Perplexity on iOS is solid overall, but it still lags behind in updates and features. For paying subscribers, that’s frustrating—especially when some of the features included with Pro are only available on desktop or web.

Some key features still missing on iOS:

1. Nano Banana 2
   Why are Seedream 4, GPT 1, and Gemini 2.5 still the only options? Pro subscribers can already use Banana 2 on web, so why isn’t it available on iOS yet?

2. Learn and Study on iOS
   This feels like a basic feature at this point, and many other apps already offer it.

3. Control Browser
   This would be extremely useful.

4. The new Health app
   This would also be a very valuable addition.

I recently spent some time reading through the Flutter mobile codebase (mobile/pubspec.yaml and the broader lib/ structure), and I wanted to share a few architectural observations in the spirit of constructive feedback.

The app currently relies on Provider, ValueNotifiers, and InheritedWidgets as its primary state management approach, without a formal architectural pattern like MVVM, Clean Architecture, or MVC enforcing separation of concerns. The services/ + ui/ folder split is functional, but at the scale your codebase has grown to, a few real-world tradeoffs start to show up:

• State logic gradually leaks into the widget layer, making widgets harder to test in isolation.
• Without a clear ViewModel or Presenter boundary, business logic and UI concerns get entangled over time.
• Onboarding new open-source contributors becomes harder when there's no enforced pattern to guide where things live.

For a codebase with the complexity of sync, E2E encryption flows, and on-device ML, something like Riverpod with a feature-first folder structure or Bloc for the heavier state machines would give the codebase significantly more room to scale without accumulating architectural debt.

I want to be clear: this is not a criticism of the product, which is excellent. It's more a reflection that the internals deserve the same long-term care as the UX you've clearly invested in.

Would be curious to know if there's a deliberate reason the team has stayed with the current approach sometimes constraints or history make these decisions more nuanced than they appear from the outside.

Example: I search “Wikipedia Perplexity” to read the wikipedia article. However, a “working” sign appears and after a few seconds i see and the answer by perplexity what is on its wikipedia.

That is not what I want. I use ai intentionally and do not want every search waisting compute and usage.

This is my reason not to use comet mobile. Duck Browser for example lets you choose ai while typing in.

Previously there was an indicator showing which AI model (e.g. Grok 4.1, Sonar, Claude, GPT) answered my queries in the Android app, but now it's gone.

Please restore this feature as an advanced option in settings (default: off, to avoid cluttering the UI). Sometimes responses feel like they're from a basic free Gemini on a cheap phone, despite my paid Pro subscription – I'd like to see and choose models consciously.

I'm using an Android phone and when I try to set my default Assistant as Perplexity. It works one time (by holding the home button) and then it reverts back to whatever else was before hand. It won't stay as default. I've tried with two different phones running two different android versions Jelly 2( Android 11) Jelly Star (android 13). Does anyone know whats going on? I would like perplexity to understand that people are multi lingual. I know those news were created in another language, if I know them, don't translate it. Only if I don't know do translate and even then give me a way to see that in the original language or even in a language of my choice (say, for language learning cases). It weirds me out news from my country in English (my system language), when I see national sources and weird language use probably because translation. Which is different than a news about my country with international sources.

Please add a read-out-loud feature to Deep Research products! I use perplexity mobile in my car to catch up on news and do research on topics of interest to me via voice, and sometimes I queue up a deep research to run during the first part of my drive. Only problem is I can't listen to the output except for the summary portion which isn't what I'm most interested if I do deep research. I already listen to summary-type info in the discover section. Having to wait to visually read the results of the deep research when I'm finished with my commute doesn't jive with my schedule, because when I'm done with my commute, I've got to go to work, not sit in my car for another 30 minutes reading.

My perplexity app (Pro subscriber) just stopped functioning on my iPad Pro (M4). It simply didn’t let me input anything and none of the links responded… no blinking cursor either. It was as if the screen froze. No other issues, no new apps. I deleted program and cache and reloaded without effect as the reloaded program had same issue. I deleted and the did an incremental os patch and reinstalled perplexity… and same thing. My account functions elsewhere, even on Comet in the same iPad. What is wrong here? I’m on max and have also been experiencing it on the iOS app.

Please move the button areas further away from the bottom of the text field in the iOS app. When I’m authoring a prompt, I often need to insert the cursor at the end of my prompt. When the text like happens to be at either one of the bottom corners, it’s infuriatingly hard to drop the cursor in without hitting the “back” or “go” buttons.

I’m also not a fan of the “swipe” left to go back feature. I’ve lost hour long prompt authoring sessions by swiping without intending to. Or, just make sure the text field we must use to enter a new prompt more retentive. A “clear” button perhaps? I know, I know, I should be authoring prompts elsewhere, then copying them in, but sometimes I just need to get it in there…

Does anyone know how to receive notifications for tasks on mobile without getting spammed with news headlines daily? Honestly I love the Pro tasks feature but I hate that I can either turn off notifications entirely (I really don’t want to get push notifications about current events) and along with it receive no tasks notifications (I can still manually check), or leave them both on.

Edit: just learned there’s an email feature. Looks like it’s email + turned off push notifications for me.
