Definitely dirt tools. You can terraform block by block if you want - and terrain voxels look different from building voxels, as they are not a cube.
I know that plants come with the terrain when you are terraforming with dirt. We couldn't plant individual plants during the demo, but who know what we will find out in the future

I don't know if I get what you mean. But you can embed a part of a wall piece inside a cliff or ground and it will cost you cheaper (the part of the wall bellow ground or inside the cliff won't be accounted for, so you'll just pay in materials what is on the outside). So it embeds, it doesn't despawn the environment

As long as you don't touch your trees or whatever other features you liked about where you put your altar, it should be okay

k, so basically in conan when i place say a foundation block it despawns all plants, and stones including the grass within x ammount of meters of the placed object, and if it doesnt despawn it, it makes it so if it was harvested then it wont respawn, i get the altar prevents the respawning and im fine with it

Depends , to me, Reforger, and Dayz (enfusion engine) is much more fluid and better than old A3 and A2. Better animations, no lags, no bags, not a single problem that we had in Arma 3 and previous titles. Reforger and future FTW

Well yeah some stuff surely is better. Vehicles are much better in older Arma releases due to the fact that those are client sided. I remember when they destroyed cars in DayZ a few years ago and still didn’t manage to fix it. BI isn’t such a small studio, they still didn’t manage to fix alot of stuff and the game feels like it’s been released in early 2000s and didn’t get and updates.

Wasted a few thousand hours of time on DayZ. Still think that alot is still better in Arma 2 mod.

I cant agree, old armas are so clunky and broken with that client sided vehicles. Overall vehicle simulations are amazing in Reforger and Dayz. A3 is just, old and... you know, not so good

Cars are still very glitchy in DayZ. So is the AI and other things. They improved alot but the cars were much better in 0.63.
I‘m sure they‘ll move the reforger engine to DayZ at some point but I guess they‘ll never manage to fix the weird Zombies.
DayZ would be much nicer without Zombies, in it‘s current state.
But I used to be very hyped about the game and ignored alot of issues. I quit last year I think and it was a good decision. DayZ gives a feeling no other game does but still, it lacks so much.
Rather playing more polished games and not having that DayZ Survival feeling.
Overall gameplay got too easy too.. making it harder seems to be a very hard task, if they won’t fix the AI an other glitches tho.

I‘d still enjoy the game I think but I can’t overlook the sheer lack of knowledge of the devs.

Kinda hard to get the full picture due to the tree and hill, but after 14 hours of play, my friends and I finally decided to find a place to set up a fortified city of sorts. Setting up buildings for each of the NPCs, and then each of us doing our own creation for ourselves. We currently have our area limits at the 120 size. For people building underground. You can use the build tool to dig up very large areas quickly. I see way too many people hitting away for hours with a pickaxe xD

Not sure everyone knew this, so here it is.
You can salvage most weapons (not crafted ones) to get you more Runes, and then you can use these Runes at the Blacksmith to upgrade your uncommon/epic/legendary weapons like I have on the picture.

I died in the same place. You need to get the glider and then go to your left - there's a higher point you can climb up to and jump off from to get there. You may have to use your pickaxe to reduce the slope as you approach your grave but you can get to it for sure.

Building system is very limited in terms of creative freedom of placing things, want a nice view from a cliffside? Find yourself a cliff that is angled perfectly or else your house will be aligned incorrectly. Want to build a hobbit-hole in random cave? Pray to god that you find a perfectly 90 degree angled hill. That is my ONLY gripe with this game. Block rotation should be free flowing or 45 degrees at minimum.

The game is fun 🙂 I am super happy that one enemy camp respawns (and chests respawn!! Even silver ones yay). Got a nice bow from a respawned chest in that first enemy camp. Only thing I’m sad about, is other stuff like rock also respawn (to a degree I’m sad. Bc I was building a tunnel from one end to another for passing, but it all respawned and I was soooooo far 😭 lol).

yeah, they only happen every other spot. It might be coded to the world too, not specific to each building.

Just tried that, and that is not effective in forcing it in every situation. The first two arches have them, the last one doesn't. the first two have a single block between them, the last has two blocks. If I build an arch offset from the last one then it will force the arches though
