the slightly longer answer is "but you'd have to be cautious as a lot of these will have pieces of equipment and things unlocked that would mess with your quest progression"

therefore I wouldn't recommend this approach if this is your first time playing

know that you can always just dig out a basement with the biggest foundation block, it goes pretty fast

and there you have it: a roof over people's heads, walls on all sides, ready to turn it into the stanford prison experiment

Everybody I played with who had a shield had it always shown as far as I remember. Thats why I use the mage-shield instead, didnt like the shield always there.

I have two questions. I just started the game. is it normal to be kinda lost with the amount of ping for quests u get and if i build another flame shrine or whater it is called in english. will it be at level one or does it stack with the first one ?

but, if it helps at all, the game is made in a way to where you don't really have to adhere to any specific order. You can just keep doing whichever quest is closest to you, if that helps c:

1: the color code helps; green is easy for your current level, yellow is moderately difficult and purple is very difficult (enemies are color coded the same way). For simplicity, do the nearby quests and also, just explore, don't worry too much about it; going fast in this game takes away some of the fun.
2: your Flame altar level refers to the local base size, and is managed for each altar you set down. Each altar must be upgraded individually. Your Flame level is global and refers to things like how many altars you can have and what level of Shroud you can enter.

Yes; the higher your Flame level, the more altars you can place (up to 9 besides the starting altar); use them as convenient teleport spots, especially near places you know will take a while to conquer. :) You may do as you say, build (nearly) anywhere, including renovating many standing buildings. Some zones have a red outline where you can't build because devs want to reserve them for future expansion or because it's an area critical to a quest.

I would like to see them do a few things for the new release - an underwater weapon / speargun maybe - and more placeable objects that are now only like ingredients - like more seedlings for the nighttime glowing plants. Mannequins with better poses and the ability to hold weapons and cups by giving them the same properties as weapon displays. A posable one would be awesome to we can seat them in taverns or at tables. Lots of things would display nicely like rings and gems in cases etc. etc.

this was a quest for the bard where i needed to get shroud ice. for a color. my whole quest progression stopped on that one. kept going on the others

Sometimes while exploring you stumble across a quest item before getting the quest and that can mess things up.

I kind f remembered that myself and even though I had the ice it didn’t clear because it was tied to another quest from someone else. I completed the quest by accident.

That’s the great thing still lots to do as long as the quest is passive it really doesn’t matter. After 1700 hours at maxed levels and all quests except one completed - finding all spring lands fossils - I just completed it a day ago after accidentally finding the last one while doing something else.

I have lots of palettes but not all because some have to be made but I don’t use the color station. I might be tempted it we could have mannequins in our taverns where I could color their peasant outfits and mix and match garments that are not actually armor.
