It might be an extremely unpopular thing that I would want to see in the game (please someone give me the validation that it would be pretty) is to be able to craft a glider for underwater from those lizard/dragonfolks scales. So its essentially like a mermaid tail/tail addon you can put on as glider for underwater and swim and do dolphin jumps.

(additionally add a skin for the glider that is wings and my life is yours)

hey all, im new to Enshrouded, liking it so far, I'm playing on steam deck as well as PC, steam deck works fine enough for me to play a little on the go. Question is, is it normal for the world to reset everytime you quit and reload? I quit and reload quite a bit being on the deck, but if i mine, or loot a chest or something, reload its there again. Its almost like a little exploit which i dont care to utililze, but just wondering if im missing something or its normal for the world to completely reset becuase i quit and logged back in?

Ok thanks, good to know its normal, but slight bummer its so easy to keep getting resources with a simple reload, takes away a bit of the reward of gaining new resources by just grabbing more resources as you run past the same spot every time.

Level doesn't mean a whole lot in this game, it's just skill points. The main thing is making sure your weapons and armor are as good as you can get them, and same for your food

I mean, i've gone over the top, there's quite a bit underground you don't see, which could be affecting it but yea, the render distance for detail isn't overly far.

It wouldn't surprise me if render distances change as optimization improves. I know the pop-in bothers me too. I'm still pulling for a "cinematic mode" that super boosts your render range so you can glide around big builds without trees and stuff popping in and out

my game runs pretty good at 30-40 fps but sadly it keeps freezing or lagging pretty consistently. Is there a fix or does anyone have a link to follow?

It could be a lot of things. Is it like a consistent stutter? If your mobo has an on-board GPU and you show two in device manager, try disabling the on board one. That can resolve graphics stutters in a lot of games

Otherwise maybe check in with #troubleshooting , they might be able to help you diagnose it

Yeah, check and see if your device manager shows two graphics adapters, and disable the one on your motherboard if that's the case

None to date. The shroud regenerating is pretty important to keeping game worlds viable both for solo and multiplayer. No idea if they plan to offer an option after 1.0

Question for anyone who uses my Enshrouded Manager application. I'm considering adding a warning to the file restore so if the slot is already used it will ask to overwrite vs just nuking the existing files and restoring the backup which is what it currently does. I would be adding an option to hold shift or such to act as silent modifier. Allowing one to just restore over it without confirmation like current. Curious if anyone has thoughts on this?

Also considering adding a facility to package up the logs and all save files into a zip for bug reports. So it becomes a simple one click solution.

So I see zero way to set the distance that I can set my followers to wander on most of them, but on some, the option just pops right up without prompting it. Ive researched it and people are like "Oh just summon them again and then the option is there." It really isn't for me at all.

Not really. The game and the engine are still being developed, and with it being a custom engine what that means is new updates tend to bork mods. The most you'll see on Nexus is a few shaders and a couple rudimentary cheat engines

Better, there's a full transmog system. You can make any armor look like any other armor

Just press R at the equipment screen to bring up the cosmetic screen. You don't get any armor perks from "display" armors but you can throw anything you want in there whether it's armor, clothes, etc and still get the benefits from your normal equipped armor

Plus you can hide pieces like helmet or gloves

i built a skybase, which happens to be located perfect for next biome update. I used one level dedicated to farming/animal pens, and did enclosures using material to make them per animal's home biome. They don't even know they're in an enclosure 😜

You could create a copy/duplicate of your current world, then delete all the altars and hey presto, you have a new world with a fresh batch of altars to build with ^^

What you want and what's technically feasible are two different things, they will give us as much as they can i'm sure about that, that they can be relatively certain things wont crash and burn, anything beyond that point, i'm sure modders will eventually unlock, but then it's not Keens fault when things crash and burn (Though they'll still get blamed :D)

if we are talking "how to acutally make it work ok", limit total number of square (cubed?) meters claimed (so like 50 "base units", Lv1 is 1, lvl2 is whatever the cubed area is peercent versus lvl1? not sure lol)

becuase as far as I understand it, the issue is mostly persistent changes/builds. 9 lvl 1 areas and 1 lvl 3 isn't the same as 10 max area ones

figuring out how to balance that is... math I don't want to do right now 😄

I think thats actually a newish bug, I have an older resource world copy, as of one of the recent updates this year, some things are invisible, it was fine before

Yes and no. Such things happening we've seen in troubleshooting in spits and spats since EA release. It's a lot more prominent right now because of the overall lighting and whatever else backend update they done last update, which is putting more strain on machines so these things show up more often.

Mammals can't breath underwater at all. Think of it as prolonged breath holding. They release that breath through their blowhole. Think of the blowhole as their nose.

hey there folks! i have a quick question for those that might know! i have this quest where i gotta give the barber some enshrouded ice but while i have it in inventory and speak to him i dont get the dialog therefore i cant complete the quest! some people online say this is a bug . i have tried all that and doesnt work. I have respawned the npc without a bed to force dialogue box to appear, i have tried with box, hotbar or inventory, other containers you name it. I even went and chopped the ice from different parts of the summits to see if thats some weird issue! Nothing has worked so far! im this close to getting triggered 🤣
