I'm not sure if Valve got back to my company management or not, they didn't mention it to me.

A valve employee was doing a routine update to our backend, which isn't unusual they've done it before. It was essentially an update to make sure that our players were receiving an up-to-date version of the latest build of the game. Think of it as a Steam version of like, a forced cache refresh or something.

But for whatever reason when they pushed that update the entire store page went offline, lol. And they quickly fixed it once we let them know what happened.

sorry if I am asking a question that has been asked a lot, I am very new to the game (been playing for 5 days now): until yesterday, it ran very smoothly, the occasional glitch, but not more than in any other not-yet-finished game I have played. Since today I am experiencing extreme lags, especially connected to input, which makes fighting virtually impossible. I think I read on steam about this issue, are there any known fixes/workarounds for this? not complaining or reporting a bug, just wanted to ask the community if there were solutions

Are there "cheats" in this game? With cheats I meant like console etc. that you could use to get some basic stuff you need for base building instead of running around cutting trees and such. I don't want to "ruin" the game by getting all the "best and newest" stuff using cheats, I mean to save some time when I actually have a time to play, so that I dont need to warp and run true map to get a few this and that ingridients I need. 🙂

You could do a couple things: first you can change resource gathering rates in the difficulty settings.

Or: you can visit a resource world and snag resources or building materials from there.

Sounds like gather rates would be a good change, just reduces the grind

Sorry to complain but coming back from a very long hiatus (all my data got corrupted after beating the dragon in the capital) and wands feel like they kind of suck now. The staffs are still very fun and powerful but wands feel like im throwing little pebbles at people. Is it cuz im in early game still? They start off a little slower now. They're fine with some int and wand nodes but they don't start out as strong as they used to pre-Albaneve

Like, you can't just steamroll the early game with a basic bone wand and no skill points any more

Maybe, but pre-nerf wands were pretty widely and universally regarded as the strongest early game option and comparatively OP. They've just been balanced a bit for the early game

Level you don't necessarily need to worry about so much, basically everything gives experience. Discovering new locations, quests, fighting, mining, etc

If you really want to grind it up, at any time you can find a nice big ore deposit, put down an altar and a workbench for repairs, throw on a playlist or podcast and go nuts

One recommendation I'll make is spend 7 points on the first four nodes of the tank tree. It's something I recommend for every build. It will give you 2 con nodes and 2 armor nodes, which will double your starting HP and give an extra 20% physical damage reduction. It may not sound like much but it can be the difference between escaping or getting 1-shot

Gold Chests are one of if not THE best way to get Gold Weapons (or the sarcophogi) but farming them, especially for the weapon that you want can take awhile.

I think it has to do with the fact that survivals demand patience. There isn't a lot of instant gratification in a game like Enshrouded, you have to build your way up and work for the cool stuff

No. The game more or less has a 'chunk' system like Minecraft, where the world only renders in a certain radius around the player. In order for things to revert/respawn the chunk they're in needs to be unloaded for at least 30 minutes, so in other words nobody in the area for that time

Yea i got rid of durability, though i have less issue with that than i do with the dropping of items. I always do a first run through at default.. for any game, then adjust for future games and most of the time, if the option is available, i will always disable dropped items 😄

The save files are a nit nuanced. You have to make sure you are naming them correctly, and that your game can see them.

It gets a bit weird if you have steam cloud save on, as the save file has to be newer than one you might be replacing as well.

Your character is not in that file - it was saved on your system from the get-go, so if you changed over to steam cloud off, your character save won't follow and you will have to move it over, but keep in mind that all characters are saved in one file, so if you have a character that you made with steam cloud off, it will be overwritten.

My biggest advice is just "Go experiement!" there's no resource loss when constructing/deconstructing, so building whatever you like is always a good time. There's lots of new mechanics that open up as you progress through the game so just keep doing quests, rescuing NPCs and exploring and it's going to be a good time.

one tip I can offer is landing on the side of the mountain until he's stunned and crashing down and then rush in and blast him as much as possible.
