How does one know what quests are intended for what lvls? Kindof a pain having to traverse to a place to find out what lvl the enemies are

well if u go and see enemies above your lvl then u need to grind or just do other quest in meantime

trail and error, look it up.
Reading the quests can give hints about the level with its waypoint location.

Wilts exploring you get a handle on mob level per area. Like where does the next area start and i get mobs of higher level.

To avoid a overkill of walking from A to B to C.. make sure you have a flame altar or two unused. If you ever travel the wrong way into a higher level area.. drop a altar and fast travel to another place.. come back there when you have the level without having to walk there a 2nd time.

when you upgrade the altar:
more passive points (str, int, con, dex, end) --
handle tougher shroud (red fog now turned blue)
higher total amount of flame altars to be placed on the map

It's a decent question to ask though, if there is a tooltip or if one can be provided for quests and a recommended level noted.
For a survival game this game does shower you with quests that it almost feels like you're playing a open world RPG with base building 😂 .

the fl3 run was assisted a lot with the extra shroud time and updraft for sure. so at the very least ill get as far as reasonable and call it if it becomes truly impossible. i think challenge content is appeasable to folx who are just like "i wonder if its possible" and "well im certainly not gonna try it"

You do not need to collect from the wells. For the growing of seeds, just go to the seed bed and 'pull' the ingredients using the convenient new-ish buttons top right of the interface window.

Yes, the individual wells only hold so much, so if you want larger quantities, you need to build more wells. (Small wells hold 15, large hold 25)

One of the main reasons I left before. Thought they'd fixed it so you didn't have to empty wells for 10 minutes every base visit. Wastes so much time. Oh I got ya. You mean let all wells fill up and empty them with the pull function. Guess that works. They need to just add a bucket for the well though

This game does have some instances of "now what?" but honestly i think the quest system is very good at leading you to new areas, so it keeps you engaged with the world and doesn't REQUIRE youtubing what to do.

the only thing i can think of that i dislike is when i'm reading a note or quest update and then i get attacked by a mob i didn't see.

actually i take that back, one other thing i actively dislike is that there is no parachute-style function option for the glider. I will not stop playing because of this, but it bothers me a lot lore-wise that the in-world inventors of embervale would make gliders but not have parachutes.
