The main issue is they're working in a custom voxel engine, and water is very hard to deal with in voxels. They've actually made water in testing but it either lags like crazy, or it looks terrible, so they left it out until they can figure out a way to make it work

Games like Minecraft and Portal Knights do it, but they're dealing in much larger voxels than Enshrouded

Farmable, just go to the ancient spire in the mountains. There's a platform right outside of it to the south with a grapple hook anchor, and over to the right of that platform there's a ledge and an absolute load of obsidian in that cliff wall

I hope their first priority is getting the game so it's actually playable for everyone. No point adding more content if a lot of people are having issues with the game. The crashes wouldn't be nowhere near as bad if it actually spawned you in the place it crashed rather than having to do the same things over and over again.

Peaceful Acres is a good spot to build early for getting established. Starts around 25 comfort level and comes with a farm plot so you can plant early without much setup

Random wishcasting, I hope eventually the option to "add from magic chest" in workshops gets a button to add a manual quantity instead of just "add one/add all"

If you have 417 of a thing and you need to put 50 in a workshop, it's mildly inconvenient to either click the button 50 times, or add the stack, split the stack, then take the surplus and put it back in the chest it came from

Or rather than inconvenient, it feels kind of clunky

Though I appreciate that they added the function in the first place

They work great as a checkpoint or if you think about it that way, like a bookmark to save your place when exploring if you need to go back to camp to resupply or sleep

Also for mining, I always carry rocks and a workbench so if I need to mine something, I can drop an altar and a workbench nearby that way I can repair my pick and get all the shinys

you can find rocks almost everywhere but they are hard to find in the mountains (have to trash the braziers on the side of the road)

Hey everyone! New to the game and I'm really enjoying it so far. I bought the game for my wife as well as I thought she would like it too. The game worked for us for one night. The next day she was no longer able to connect to my game, any other public games, or even her own private game; she just sits in a loading screen for an endless amount of time. She can't even connect to her own private server; she literally can't play the game at all. Making a new character doesn't solve the issue either. Just loading screens forever.

Hello all ;). Recently in my fertilized soil, when I plant within the outer areas, but well within the edges, the seedling appears to plant, but then disappears? Not to be found in inv. What might I be missing? aside from seedlings lol.

Make sure that you have at least 2 blocks of soil beneith it and then don't rake. You can use the hammer tool to remove the dirt/rock and then replace it with the soil (as just placing it over doesn't replace what is there) and that will make sure you have enough soil under it.

Using the nice big flat one in the tool should be sufficient, just make sure to remove (right click) before plaving it down.

That should be fine too, but it uses a lot more of the soil. If you have large enough areas, I would suggest using the terrain tools at the bottom of the hammer list (alt) they are much larger and also only use 1 soil per.

Yup, big old farm for us at the moment, but we never removed any dirt before laying our beds. Just plopped it on top of flat ground .

All our regular planting soil beds done by plopping the 4m box down take seedlings right up to the edges, and when they don't, they don't pretend to at all. just give the red seedling, or plant in dirt lol. Thanks again for your thoughts.

Need and want are different. I mass produce arrows for future use when my buddys are not online. So I have multiple seed boxes going while im out grabbing flint clay and making tar etc. basically I craft arrows at all times and then go on epic battles when the buddys are around. Multiple seed boxes makes it faster thats all.

I mean... "Still" is a broad term. The game is not even out for a year in EA and to bring now out a mod support only would end up either having the modders constantly update their mods or have the devs hoping they won't break stuff.
Both cases only add up to anger, so... I'm actually on the side of "bring it when the game is at least 1.0".

The only 'mod' we really have is Builder's Companion which is a table for cheat engine that lets you use items in game we can't craft to decorate and lots of other stuff but that's it.

Mama Kira's question is a valid one. I know Steam lists this one as a survival, but compared to something like Soulmask it's more of an adventure game with building and crafting elements. That said there's a ton of content and it's a lot of fun, just depends on what experience you're looking to step into

The combat is relatively simple, but at the same time it can be challenging - especially certain boss fights which have more of a raid mechanics feel. Armor and weapons are more important than level in most aspects. It has a great story, if you like to read, but if you aren't big on reading notes you might miss a lot.
