(i need to test this more to be sure) If in the middle, it can reach everywhere, but if placed on the edge of the borders, it will not reach the other side.

Hello! im wondering if anyone had any problems with the sorting items in inventory key. I cant seems to sort my backpack, and some of the storage. Other storage works fine, and some dont.. pressing t gives me the sorting sound, but nothing happens.

the only other weird thing we noticed (my cousin and I are playing in my server) is that when she is doing some stuff and then she gets disconnected because sad internet connection, sometimes the items either change in numbers.

for example, she would move say metal scraps from farming, into the storage box... and the number of items doesnt really match the amount she initially put in.

could that be connected?

Okay - so I experimented. i transferred all my items into a storage box and moved them into my backpack one by one to see if any items are causing it. it seems that when the revelwood bone key is in my backpack inventory, the sorting didnt work.

i shall do the same with the other unsortable storages to identify which items are causing it if any. sorry for spamming XD wasnt sure where to ask.

Sorry I was replying to someone in troubleshooting. 🙂 So the reason I was asking is we had another person in here who was having strange sorting issues and the items that were causing them came from a server that was using item mods.

Usually if storage sort stops working its due to items being over the max stack limit.

They did change the stack limit on several item types in the last update, and it's possible that this could be causing issues (though I just recently moved my entire storage to another location and didn't have any sorting issues - but bugs wouldn't be half as exciting if they happened to everyone)

Well, keep an eye on it. If you see it happening again, submit a bug report. If the game is somehow stacking things in larger stack sizes on it's own, it could cause other issues as well. For now we'll hope it was a one-off

The rake needs a rework. Its unnecessarily hard to get a perfectly level ground with it. I would be standing at a spot, level something until it is "innefective", move to that spot and then try to level the exact spot where I was before, expecting it to say "ineffective" because well, that how it should work, but instead it will raise or lower that spot.

The code needs to be reworked for that

hahaha, don't assume things, I had to use it to build and fill up a giant hole so I can build my new home. The reason why it leave holes because it need something fill in those missing spots, it is like raising the ground that is missing, you can fix it by having some dirt or something place in those holes then use rake hold down mouse. Kinda hard to explain how I use it but it is not too hard for me

Well the rake doesn't work as it should, as stepping on a piece of ground where it was "ineffective" and trying to rake a spot where you were standing previously does not result into "ineffective" meaning those two are not on an even level as they should. If that doesn't bother you its okay, but that simply means you don't care about the eveness as much as I do.

Compared to Valheim, where it is very simple to make a perfectly flat and level piece of ground, the rake in Enshrouded is not coded as well

There is no miscommunication, just simple failure to accept a fact. I laid it out as plainly and as clearly as I could. Not sure what to call this refusal, but that is not really my problem or a thing for me to fix.

In any case I don't really care what it "looks like". What I care about is that I'm standing in a spot, that should be level with wher I was standing a while ago, yet instead of these two being equal, I can go back and forth between them and raise/lower them until the end of time.

You can get perfectly level terrain very easily, just use the build/unbuild to clear out an area that you want to work on. Once it's cleared, then add flat 1 block thickness terrain blocks back to the area. Whether that's farm soil, dirt or whatever it makes it more level than you could ever hope to do any other way.

Place down blocks like you're building something, then hover the build block back over it until it says "remove" and right click with the mouse. Many people use it to excavate homemade caves to build underground houses and bunkers in the game.

By removing the blocks it takes away the block and the previous material. You don't need to use the large square foundation blocks, you can use the 1 block thickness blocks that are used for a 2nd story floor of a house

So simply use the 4x1 wide blocks and clear out the area, the larger foundation blocks if you need to carve out really hilly terrain and flatten it quickly.

Make sure your laptop vent is clear. People set their laptop down on things like pillows and it blocks the vent. Then yeah they will get really hot. Make sure that vent is always clear. And also get some canned air and blow it out. Might be a lot of dust buildup in there.

It depends partly on what you're up against, some enemies are resistant to 1 kind of of damage or another. So there really isn't a "silver bullet" version bow that covers all situations. Wolf's snarl bow has 1 second draw time so too slow for boss or fast enemy fights.

Hmm it definitely makes a difference in HH. Using the slower speed definitely makes a difference. Between a mid-lunch of a skelly, you can maybe get a shot in before he hits you with anything EXCEPT the snarl. ( I SHOULD ADD, IN MY EXPEREINCE)

for me as mage/healer. The strongest wand and staff that i have is epic level 7 Scorching Wand and rare level 16 Elder's Staff

At this time there is no way to do this. I personally think this (or something similar) will be added when they add the server permissions that is on the roadmap, but it's purely conjecture on my part.

The point I was trying to make is you dig way down deep to the lowest point you can and carve out a shallow cavern, fill it with huge chests that AREN'T magic chests, transfer everything they'd might want to steal, then cover most the upper part of the hole up. It still doesn't solve the bombs/explosives problem though

Yeah, but if the hidden stash is deep underground with nothing to indicate it, like in JDog's initial scenario, then it's at least somewhat undectable. Whereas with the flame altar being underground in a box not only would fast travel there be a pain in the butt having to mine out and replace the terrain afterwards everytime, it would signal to a griefer that other things are likely buried around it as well.

Using the build/unbuild is actually very quick, still annoying. Basically I'd just be extremely careful about who you invite to your server and back up the save before doing so. It's better to for the time being to simply meet on a public server and do Content there, sure you won't complete it on your own personal server but saves a lot of worrying and anxiety.

Part of the deception is to still have all your old chests, most won't want to steal lower chests, and DON'T leave them completely empty, just some partial stacks of each thing so it appears as though you're not hiding large quantities of stuff.

The problem with overlapping alters is it needs to be perfectly aligned with the 1 above otherwise it's noticeable. The other thing is if they can't teleport to it then neither can you, the other thing is unless they can't count past 7 then an alter would be missing from the map.

What is wrong is that I have to wait 6 hours to try again. I can't see any signs that I did post any thread there either.

v-sync limits your frame rate to 60, or 30 if you double buffer.
