Yeah still nothing even after trying as many as I could while making sure Docker was completely scrubed. Testing another user account had the same issues so I can confirm it's probably system based. It's NOT the case on my laptop and literally everything else works except vesktop on desktop. (Browser + Regular Discord VC works), even checking another network (mobile hotspot) didn't work while the VPN did

EDIT: Checked my laptop and that has Docker installed, but despite that it doesn't have the same issues. Testing across both flatpak and a regular install of vesktop with the same results for both

Hey guys, I was wondering if some of you ran into this same issue. I have a Logitech Mx Brio webcam that I want to use with vesktop. When I connect it to my laptop, vesktop recognises the camera and shows it as an option for the video input, however when I select it, it doesnt actually switch over to the Mx Brio camera it still continues to use the inbuilt laptop camera. I have tested the camera on google meets and on zoom and it works fine there, its just on vesktop that it doesn't work. I am on CachyOS.

Has anyone else had issues recently with Vesktop randomly freezing? I'm on the latest version, but pretty frequently having vesktop freeze whenever a popup occurs, be it either text prompt, zooming on image, etc. Only way to fix it is by force-restarting the app

Hey, I am unable to stream both on and off Wayland. On Wayland, whenever I try to click over to sharing a window, it immediately crashes the selector. Off Wayland, I can navigate the selector, and then it just doesn't start the stream.

no, I don't use vencloud at all, I literally went "huh that's odd" and then checked my local old vencord css in appdata to find it's identical to the vesktop css post-update, and a specific version of my css I was only using for like 2 weeks until I migrated to vesktop and redid it.

Like I said, not a huge issue for me, I've already rewrote vesktop's css back to where I like it again, just that the update was overwriting the vesktop css with old vencord css.

Can anyone give me a hand with why Vesktop, and Discord, both can't open? I launch either one and it'll open a window, and then it just loads eternally. The weird thing is, I launched Discord with hardware acceleration off and it worked, but then after I tried uninstalling it, installing Vesktop, and launching Vesktop with "--disable-gpu", it didn't work again, and then reinstalling Discord and launching it with the option to disable GPU acceleration, it didn't work again. Currently, I can only use Discord in the browser, it doesn't even work when I try using it in Ferdium. This issue happens both installed with Pacman and with Flatpak (I'm on Arch Linux).

I'm having an issue with Vesktop. I wanted to watch a movie with my girlfriend during a call, so I shared the video player I was using (I tried both VLC and the Windows player). The problem is that her own audio was being broadcasted back to her, not just the audio from the player. This didn't happen when I used the official Discord app. I'm using the FakeNitro plugin to stream at 1080p, but that’s it. I’d appreciate any help!

Hey guys! I've got an issue with the Vesktop app and don't know how to proceed. Whenever I'm in a voice channel and want to enable screensharing, it lets me choose my image source as usual, then resolution/fps, then I click on "Go Live", the dialog window disappears but then... nothing happens. There is no apparent error message, it just looks like I never tried to start screenshare. I've tried with multiple sources (games, windows, whole screen). Im on Windows 11 25H2. The vanilla Discord client works as expected. I've also tried disabling some plugins (FakeNitro and WebScreenshareFixes). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello! I'm trying to screenshare with my audio enabled? I'm on p default cachyOS, but I installed Discord Screenaudio AND Pipewire Pulse from CachyOS's octipi and it's still not working. I'm trying to capture audio from the application Bitwig which is a DAW.

It gives me the dropdown for "entire system" but no audio plays through the stream at all. Any support appreciated.

• RAM: 6400MHz CL32
• Motherboard: B850 AORUS Elite

What I’ve tried:
• Lowering and increasing RAM speed
• Enabling X3D Turbo Mode
• Tried most common tweaks and optimizations

However, the 1% lows are still dropping, especially in ARK: Raiders, RDR, and most other games.

The strange thing is that the drop is very consistent —
1% low always goes down to around 40 FPS.

Hello, I am running Arch (CachyOS specifically) and am using HDR on the desktop.

I am noticing that the colors for images and content within the app are slightly off when compared to same images in a browser or outside. Is there a way to enable HDR support? I assume that is what's missing. I also think this might've changed recently, but I am not sure.

it seems like the update to the WebScreenShareFixes plugin a couple of days ago broke watching discord streams for me. The audio works fine but the video feed buffers endlessly before erroring out with Error 2012. Disabling the plugin fixed it, nothing else seemed to affect it. It also only happened when watching some user's streams, not others, curiously. I'm feeling like it must've been the plugin update because it worked fine for months and only started breaking for the past 2 days

Hello, i'm having an issue with Vesktop viewing Screenshares that are encoded with an NVIDIA GPU...

I have 2 friends screensharing, one has an AMD GPU and one has an NVIDIA GPU, when both are screensharing, i can only see the screenshare from the friend with the AMD GPU and the one with the NVIDIA GPU gets stuck at Discord Error 2012.

I am using Fedora Linux running Vesktop (using Niri which is a Wayland compositor if that changes anything). I was wondering how to get certain themes to work but more than that, I want to be able to just edit the actual transparency of my Vesktop window. I also have stutter in different apps and on the desktop, but it only happens when a heavy game is running and minimised, and the game is still rendering even when minimised.
This is quite strange, as I didn't have such problems when minimising games on a laptop with a 5900HX, RX 6800M and DDR4 3200 RAM

I've completely come to terms with it, as it doesn't affect the FPS in the game.

By the way, I just noticed that the BIOS update has been released (F7 ver). I don't know when it was released, but maybe it will help you.

Vesktop does not seem to work with KDE Plasma's Autostart by default. All it says is [e-mail]: Main process exited, code=exited, status=133/n/a then it says it failed. When manually starting Vesktop, it does open normally.

System:

• Debian 13 w/ KDE Plasma 6.3.6
• Vesktop installed through Flatpak

The autostart seems to run a .desktop file with the following command: flatpak run --command=/app/bin/vesktop/vesktop.bin dev.vencord.Vesktop --enable-speech-dispatcher, where the file is located in the ~/.config/autostart directory. Manually running the .desktop file with gtk-launch works, so I don't know why autostart can't run it.

It also used to work for me on a previous Kubuntu installation, but it seems that in the switch between that and my current Debian installation, it isn't working.

EDIT: when running that command by itself, I get the following error: The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /app/bin/vesktop/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755. I tried doing what it said (chmod 4755 and chown root) but it still gives that same error.

I am still having this problem, unfortunately. I've tried several different versions of the client (Flatpak, vesktop and vesktop-git on AUR) and all seem to exhibit the problem. Currently, my only way of updating is to uninstall the client, manually delete all leftover data, and then reinstall, which is not very convenient. I had this and another similar problem. It seems i managed to get around it by going to plugins and disabing WebScreenShareFixes also disabled Video Hardware Acceleration as it seemed to cause some problems for me though it might not be needed.
To fix my own streams i also managed to get around the problem by joining from a phone with a second account and started watching my own stream (seemed to only work when both devices were in the same network). As soon as i closed discord on my phone the stream died for everyone.
For me it seems the issue started within the last week. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can see what could be causing this.

I’m having an issue with Vesktop 1.6.3. After selecting Canary on first launch, it hangs on “Loading Vesktop” forever. No JavaScript error, but it never creates a logs folder or config.json. Only settings.json and state.json appear in AppData.

I’ve already:
• Reinstalled Discord Canary cleanly
• Reinstalled Vesktop cleanly
• Deleted AppData folders
• Tried running as admin
• Confirmed GitHub access is fine (curl works)

Vencord Installer also fails on my system, so I can’t install Vencord that way either.

Is this a known issue with the current metadata or Canary

hi everyone, I've had this issue for ages now using Vesktop on Wayland with GNOME desktop, when screensharing there's black artifacts/flickering near the upper portion of the frame, I've had this on Arch using AUR vesktop-bin and now Fedora as a fresh install as a flatpak

heyyy, got an issue with vesktop linux. To put in context, the windows version has tray indicator that transforms into a gray bubble (turns green with voice activity) among other voice related indicators. The linux version sadly doesn't have this capability, so i was thinking of making a plugin that does just that. That was one of discord's best features back on windows since i mainly use it for vc with friends and gaming, so i cant just go into the app everytime a family member barges into my room to check if i'm muted or if i'm about to get clowned. Anyways, has anyone done that before? if so, would it be possible for me to get the plugin? if not, any insight on if it could be possible or not?

My PC (EndeavourOS) has been getting graphical crashes lately. It only happens when I'm in a discord call on Vesktop.
I turned off Hardware Acceleration, and now my whole PC doesn't crash, only Vesktop does. (It still dropped my fps in The Finals from 165fps to 10fps for about 10 seconds tho).

The error I'm getting in the journalctl is
