big themes often cause lag from my experience

so try without any themes too. you can use nitro themes instead

put this into a css file and load it and see if it looks good

if you have bad selectors it may cause lag

so yeah. if you have a laggy theme you really like, try only using its variables and not the other rules

but it might not look great and some areas may be unthemed (and don't go asking the theme developers for help with your modified frankenstein version)

My screenshare takes long time to load for some users. For some people it's instant and others it might take up to 30 seconds until they see anything. Everyone hears my stream audio instantly and some people video works for couple seconds and then they have to wait.

yes, you can, but eos-packagelist KDE-Desktop will give you all the required KDE desktop components of EOS.

This method is to make sure you get everything needed by EOS version of KDE.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

I've been noticing that the bundled arRPC with Vesktop doesn't work. Trying to play RPC-supported games/apps doesn't show anything in Discord. Used lsof -i:1337 and it appears that Vesktop's not even trying to bind the port for RPC usage. It does work if I manually start arRPC using npx arrpc then enabling the related plugin in Vencord's plugin menu. Is this a known bug? I searched the github and don't see anything that seems to do the same thing

open the dev tools with CTRL + Shift + i (Cmd + Option + i on MacOs) and click on the "console" tab at the top. Then paste and run (with enter) the following code.

You have discord, vesktop and vencord
All 3 of these are different things
Vencord is the client mod for discord that enables themes and plugins and is installed on top of discord
Vesktop is a completely separate app that bundles vencord, it adds features primarily aimed at Linux/Mac support but is generally just more leightweight than the normal discord client
When you have a problem with themes or plugins you go to vencord support as vencord enables those, if you have a problem with vesktop (its features/it not opening etc) you go to vesktop support

hey I am very new to vesktop i only installed to have better screen share on my linux work machine since normal discord is shit.
but i am currently trying to also use it on windows but when i share audio i also share the discord audio so everybody can hear themselves double, and the quality is very bad. How can i make sure that they do not hear themselves and possibly make the quality better or should I just use standard discord on windows?

One thing I cant get to work tho is the game activity to show
I have the rich presence setting enabled in vesktop settings and have the game activity set to show in the normal discord activity setting
is there anything else I need to do? I cant get any game to show and I dont even have the extra Tab for the game list like it was in discord

I've tried the AppImage, flatpak with tweaks, and building from source, none of which work.
My client connects to my server, as in I get the notification that it connected. I have the server running in my terminal.
No matter what I try, no games are detected.

Like at the top there are no buttons to manually close the application. River uses server side decoration to remove them. Do you mean that the part where the server name is will be toggleable?
