My themes broke and now I can't open settings or disable them

open the dev tools with CTRL + Shift + i (Cmd + Option + i on MacOs) and click on the "console" tab at the top. Then paste and run (with enter) the following code.

It will

  • disable custom css (you can turn it back on in Vencord Settings)
  • copy your current theme links to your clipboard as a backup
  • remove all themes

Hi, I tried installing Vencord. Everything seemed fine — it said it was successful. I reopened Discord, but I don’t see anything in the settings. After updating, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling, it’s still not there. Any advice?

I know that zero support will be provided for the custom builds of vencord.

But can we please get a thread or something on the documentation page that's easy to find for when patching sudenly fails/stops patching to just pull the update.

Its obvious saying that now but I can't be the only one who ended up deleting and starting over just for it to work like nothing was wrong.
(ps: its git pull while inside the vencord folder to update)

Either I'm not seeing it or I'm the only one having this issue - installing via command line (CachyOS, Arch) for several weeks now has only caused my discord client to crash when I try to start it. has anyone figured out a method to add transparency to vencord with animated desktop backgrounds on linux? currently only method ive found is to make the entire window transparent but that has the downside of making text slightly transparent aswell. custom css hasnt worked at all and none of my themes have worked to add transparency, even ones that normally add transparency on windows. my system is artix + openbox btw

It seems that there is an issue with Scaling within both the Desktop and Mobile client, Mobile being the worst.

I noticed that the bigger the resolution lengths the worst it gets, and if the Length x Width Res measurements are not symmetrical they really show badly. (Example on far right of photo Mobile Version)
Measurements of W 1028 x 2286 L photo sent into discord mobile/Desktop client turns it into pixels.
The client has a scaling restriction and when using FixImageQualities on specific image sizes it breaks causing the image to not load in Chat - Only viewable with the crappy compressed scaled down version in full view within the mobile/desktop client.

Will have to send feedback to the two devs. who made that plugin so they can write an update to patch.

i have been having serious issues with vencord and nothing seems to fix it. i tried reinstalling it, updating it, redownloading it but none of that worked. i also completely deleted and reinstalled discord, but the problem still persists. at first, discord wouldn’t open at all, but i somehow managed to fix that (i dont even know how). now it opens, but vencord is basically gone. the only sign that it’s still installed is the clear vision theme text showing up in the top left, but everything else is broken. the theme itself is also not working properly. there are only basic text and colors visible, no images or proper styling. vencord seems to be active, but completely broken and unusable
