The most common cause of lag is poorly written CSS.

To see if this is the case for you, try temporarily disabling all themes and your QuickCSS.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Hi, I'm using vencord installed on a flatpak discord instance, vaapi encoder if that matters, well within my gpu's encoding capabilities. When streaming, even when i've set manually my resolution to be 720p it often drops below that with a lot of movement on the screen. It's even more exaggerated when using the fake nitro plugin on 1080p set, the resolution drops as far as to 300 pixels and less and doesn't want to return back to higher one. Is there a way to stop the resolution from adapting to bitrate ? Maybe i'm bitrate capped but the plugin only seems to be available on other clients.
(The screenshot is 720p set, it used to be that but fell down to 570)

Are you on a school or work network? If yes, hop off that network and connect to your home Wi-Fi.
If that is not the case:

Can you even connect to the internet in the first place? Try going on https://google.com and https://github.com.

yeah the user is offline but the old platform is shown

are they actually offline if you click their profile

they are since i have seen this bug for a while and when i reload discord the user becomes offline without the platform

without the plugin i have never seen someone offline and online on they're profile

take this with a grain of salt but i think this is just a discord thing, idle users get put into the offline section in servers after long enough (you can see this happen with dnd users as well)

hellooo, i got a problem with fake nitro, idk if it ever happened to someone but when I screenshare in 1080p 60fps, it does like, time skip in the stream, bugs a lot and all that. when i uninstall vencord and do a screenshare, it doesnt bug out like that

I've realised that a lot of themes for vencord/BD now break when using what Imgur decides is a UK-based IP, because of imgur no longer being available in the United Kingdom because the images being called by the themes are hosted on imgur and being called directly
