Why is my Discord laggy?

The most common cause of lag is poorly written CSS.

To see if this is the case for you, try temporarily disabling all themes and your QuickCSS.

If that indeed fixes the lagging, you'll have to figure out which theme / part of your QuickCSS is causing the lag.Just slowly remove parts of it until it doesn't lag anymore.

Any reason why using Ignore Activities with blacklist mode still shows the status on my profile ?

I've tried blacklist mode with the specific app id (league of legends for testing) and still shows it on my status, I've also tried with whitelist mode without any id on the list and it would still show it on my status.

Your Discord seems to have installed in the wrong place. This could be due to a variety of issues.

To fix it, click the "Take me there!" button and follow the instructions in the dialog, and please make sure Discord is closed.

you could try running it from the command line and see if that does anything different
go to your downloads folder or wherever you downloaded the vencord installer to
click the address bar (the bit where it says like "This PC > Downloads"), should highlight it blue
type in cmd and hit enter, should open the cmd window
type in VencordInstaller.exe and hit enter again
should open the installer normally

The most likely cause is that your install is outdated. Check if there's any updates. You can either do so using our inbuilt updater, or if you cannot get there due to crashes or similar, use the "Update Vencord" in the Installer.

If you're all up to date, try reinstalling with the installer anyway!

Using the VencordInlineForward plugin, and whenever I try to forward a message, the UI doesn’t show anything—no prompt or menu. But if I type in any chat after hitting forward, it just sends that message automatically. There’s no way to cancel it unless I disable the plugin. Just wanna know if it’s bugged or if it’s just me.

I seem to have this random issue where I’ll start Discord and Vencord is just… gone. It’s not in the settings, and none of the plugins are active—which is how I notice it. I then redownload the installer and use the Reinstall/Repair option, and everything works perfectly again. This seems to happen completely at random; it could be days or even weeks before it occurs again, though it’s been happening more frequently lately. It also happens multiple times on the same version.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Has it been reported yet? It’s been going on for over 3 months now.

hello, im not sure if that's just a problem of mine, but i didn't really read anything yet in #1257025907625951423 about after installing vencord my Streamer mode is not applying it to discord profile/status anymore. Once i repair installed or it's still the same. Only a clean install without vencord resolves the issue.

Discord changed their internal color pointers, and it makes my Discord look flat and ugly now.

Hi folks. Recently, it appears Vencord's no longer able to load CSS themes on my end, and cloud integration has become unavailable. This is not specific to any one theme, and I have also attempted to use the QuickCSS to try an end-run around the issue to no avail.

Pulling up the console via Ctrl-shift-I reveals a litany of errors, of Vencord being unable, for whatever reason, to load a significant amount of assets. Furthermore, whenever I attempt to toggle a theme-- ones which were downloaded from BetterDiscord, up-to-date and are known good-- the console notes a refusal to connect due to a local content security policy. Looking further into it, further refusals to load assets straight from vencord.dev, also citing content-security policy reasons. Cloud integration is similarly affected, and refuses to even try to authenticate. Before this, I got repeated failure-to-sync and failure-to-fetch errors in notifications, which have obviously stopped upon the disabling of cloud integration.

This is after a clean reinstall of Discord, and multiple uninstalls/reinstalls of Vencord, and I'm reasonably sure the issue lies with Vencord itself, as up until about three updates ago the themes and cloud worked fine.
