I'm unable to get vencord to patch discord successfully after transferring the backed up .app file from a time machine backup on my macbook pro. I have uninstalled both discord and vencord multiple times with fresh patch attempts each time. No matter what I do the appearance tab in discord remains greyed out only for nitro users. I am running 15.2 macOS Sequoia. I see Vencord in discord settings but themes are still showing as only for Nitro members.

Will I get banned for using Vencord? Will plugin X get me banned?

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Hello, I would like to know if there is anyway to reset your vencord as i cannot access the settings
(Context: i had turned on the "Gui refresh" or at least i think that's what it was called, however, i had then turned on an custom outlook theme [specifically: https://betterdiscord.app/theme/Outlook] however when i had done this, there was a giant second server bar covering the the whole screen [including settings when opened] which means i had soft locked myself, so i would like to know if there is anyway too either: fix this issue/reset vencord.)

hi! my friend and myself use vesktop on linux (both of us use KDE w/ wayland and pipewire, vesktop through flathub). when she shares her screen, i'm the only one who can see her screen share, none of our friend on the vanilla clients can, and i also can't watch it on my phone. i don't have the same issue as her, everyone can see my screen shares fine. the others just see a permanent loading circle. i have an intel cpu and nvidia gpu, she has an intel cpu and amd gpu. happens to her with hardware acceleration either on/off. any ideas what could be causing that?

Does anyone know if the NoBlockedMessages plugin can, I suppose the idea is, increase in what it can do? I like Vencord more with what plugins can do but the only downside I've had is that the NoBlockedMessages isn't as thorough as Betterdiscord's RemoveBlockedUsers plugin. There's still pings, reply's, and the user is visible on the User list with NoBlockedMessages that I was used to not seeing from Betterdiscord's version.

I've been trying to install Vencord from Source for the better part of 3 hours and can't seem to get it to work no matter what I do. Whenever running pnpm install --frozen-lockfile I get three esbuild errors:

When attempting to compile the code I get the same error code. I've tried two different versions of nodejs, and their directories should be added to path correctly. The version numbers print within the Vencord directory as well. Any help? Thanks!

overrides don't work like that, if you have an "allowed" overwrite, no matter how many overwrites you have with a denied properly you have that permission regardless

i use the webrichpreseance plguin and disable built-in arrpc, but that requires you to self-host arrpc

where does all the data for pindms get stored (specifically I am trying to go from a flatpak install to to rpm, all my settings for other plugins are still the same, but pinned dms arent.

Expected Behavior: All pinned dms are saved and are imported from the exported settings file.

The actual behavior: Some pinned dms are saved, the one's that are not are the one's under "Add Catagory"

if the ctrl + shift + i keybind doesn't work, it's likely because a different program conflicts with the keybind. This is most commonly the AMD Radeon Software. If you have that, disable keybinds in it (see the video below)
