Hi, unsure if this is the place to ask about Vesktop (not Vencord) issues but:

• My microphone shows up as a device without issue, but I am unable to listen to it (and I assume that other people in a call will not hear it either)
• I am running the Nix packaged version of Vesktop, under KDE Plasma 6 (wayland), on NixOS, on a desktop computer, with a microphone plugged into the rear microphone port
• I have the same issue if I run the Flatpak version of Vesktop
• My microphone works fine in other apps, including a chromium and firefox based browser
• I get these errors in the JavaScript console (see attached image)
• I tried the "Reset Voice Settings" button
• I tried restarting my device fully
• using an external USB sound card I get the same issue

I am unsure of how to resolve this, if anyone has any ideas that'd be great, please ping, ty! <3

No. These packages are maintained by people (usually) unrelated to Vencord. We can't provide support for unofficial repackages of Vencord unless it's an actual bug in the mod itself (except when such bugs occur due to the repackage).

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

hey, so i use vesktop installed from the AUR, and it seems to have started using this icon (attached) as the desktop/taskbar icon instead of the standard vencord icon. it still uses the normal icon (as seen everywhere else) for the tray icon and window header, which is really strange, and i can't find this rainbow image anywhere in the vesktop github repository. my main question is is this a change from upstream, or is the AUR maintainer doing some tomfoolery unaffiliated with the project?

I'm on steam deck, using vesktop, and I was having the problem where I can't upload files by dragging and dropping them.
I try to use flatseal to give vesktop more file permissions.
When I go back to check, still doesn't work, but when I try and open the file picker to upload files, now it opens what I believe is called a GTK file picker, which only has access to my downloads folder (which was the only folder I could drag and drop files from previously)

I tried to re-install vesktop, revert changes in flatseal, nothing works

Earlier I said that I the PinDM Plugin was not opening and closing categories. I have just un and re-installed the extension, and it seems, whenever I click on the category, then click on one of the tabs (Nitro, Friends, etc), it updates (the category that I clicked on ether opens or closes depending on state)

VC randomly drops without actually dropping (unofficially?), still says call connected but if i disconnect then itll say RTC connectin and wont fix unless i restart client, issue seems to happen at randomly when i launch an app or game, different apps so im not sure. Im, on windows 10, and it doesnt always happen.

1. Make sure discord is fully closed in task manager (or tray)
2. Press "take me there"
3. If the folder is named after your username, delete it
4. Reinstall Discord
5. Try installing vencord again
