when using firefox/userscript you can use another addon like stylus to apply themes, in this case I'd paste the contents of https://raw.githubusercontent.com/PlusInsta/discord-plus/refs/heads/master/DiscordPlus.theme.css into stylus so you can customize it easier (toolbarbutton > write style for > pick discord.com from the url)

or whatever the domain is

every time i open settings, discord crashes
for more context: i am using firefox and the web extension version of vencord
i reinstalled it multiple times with varying methods (because i couldn't figure out the CLI stuff at first.. tried the userscript, a different fork (https://gist.github.com/XiaoPanPanKevinPan/3cceb1d84ea97c04fe17ad087df8def6) i think? and the CLI with pmpn and git)
before, it would crash if i had any plugins (even the ones on by default) active; as soon as i joined a call or voice channel, it'd crash twice in quick succession (and i'd get a message saying it wasn't able to recover)
after reinstalling it for like the 4th time.. it just crashes whenever i click settings and returns me to whatever channel i was in right after
i tried the fix for broken themes but that didn't work either and gave me this error:

speaking of console errors, there's a couple of those (8 i think) and i can't make heads nor tails of them
which is to be expected since i don't know my way around there

Seems like Discord is still running in the background. Make sure you close it fully. It will most likely be in your tray, but if not you can use your Task Manager to force close it. After that, you should be able to install Vencord properly.

Why is my Discord laggy?

The most common cause of lag is poorly written CSS.

To see if this is the case for you, try temporarily disabling all themes and your QuickCSS.

If that indeed fixes the lagging, you'll have to figure out which theme / part of your QuickCSS is causing the lag.Just slowly remove parts of it until it doesn't lag anymore.

1. Make sure discord is fully closed in task manager (or tray)
2. Press "take me there"
3. If the folder is named after your username, delete it
4. Reinstall Discord
5. Try installing vencord again
