Is there any way to prevent Discord from yeeting Vencord when there is an update, or after a week or so when you restart your PC?
I'm getting tired of having to reapply Vencord patch every time. I was thinking maybe a certain file I can simply set to read-only so even Discord itself doesn't have permission to delete/overwrite it. But then I wouldn't want to mess with the wrong fails to fail a Discord general update.

Whenever there is a Discord update, it just removed Vencord and you'll have to repatch it. The browser plugin auto-updates itself so that one is usually fine.

All vencord is doing to enable party mode is sending an event with some settings, if anything is broken with it its more likely discord accidentally breaking a feature that they just haven't took out of the client

none of the discord staff are probably actually checking party mode as it is unavailable to users without them tampering with the client

Hi, I just installed Vesktop with flatpak on Nobara (Fedora), with wayland and kde, and it crashes whenever I try to select a conversation/channel/server. For example, I can't open this server without it crashing, but I can open Stardewvalley's until I try to change the current channel, then it also crashes.

Ok, I removed the --socket=wayland permission with Flatseal, and now it works.

No idea why. Might be worth to look into by someone who knows what this does.

I tried finding solution to my problem both on github and here, found one person who seemingly had the same issue, but no one helped them.
Problem: clicking on links or trying to open them via context menu does nothing.
I have the latest flatpak version of Vesktop, using hyprland if it's even relevant. I have installed portals for kde, gtk and hyprland. I tried using xdg-open https://google.comand it successfully opens links in Firefox. Open links in vesktop client is disabled.
Info when running from terminal with --verbose flag produces message, I attached it because i ran out of symbols.

The easiest & fastest solution to most issues is to just reinstalll / repair Vencord using the installer. Don't worry, you won't lose your settings! They'll all be there like nothing happened once you're back

Your Discord seems to have installed in the wrong place. This could be due to a variety of issues.

To fix it, click the "Take me there!" button and follow the instructions in the dialog.

1. Make sure discord is fully closed in task manager (or tray)
2. Press "take me there"
3. If the folder is named after your username, delete it
4. Reinstall Discord
5. Try installing vencord again
