figured it out, you can force discord's window size by altering the width/height values in AppData\Roaming\discord\settings.json even if you have vencord's transparency enabled. requires relaunching discord to take effect

3. Drag VencordInstaller.app into your terminal
4. Append /Contents/MacOS/VencordInstaller
5. The final input should now look something like this. Double check that you have everything correctly, especially the space.

6. Run by hitting Enter and the installer should open. If it says file not found, you made a mistake
7. Installing should now work!
8. If you still get the same error, give your terminal app Full Disk Access and try again

hey there, I've been having some trouble with vencord, when I first installed a couple of months ago no matter what I tried I couldn't get the mic to work so I uninstalled, today I tried to reinstall it through vesktop and the same exact problem showed up.
I've been looking around and the microphone selected is the right one, and in the microphone privacy settings it shows that said mic is currently being used by the app, though it doesn't catch any sounds (not in server VCs nor the settings test options) anyone has tips on what I should do?
I'm on windows 11 if this information could be of use.

hello peeps, vencord unpatching seems to be failing. The sequence of steps is something like this:

1. Install the official pacman discord package: sudo pacman -S discord
2. Check if activities work. You will see that they do, perfectly
3. Close discord through the tray icon and make sure there is no remaining process.
4. Install OpenAsar and Vencord through the Vencord installer: sh -c "$(curl -sS https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Vendicated/VencordInstaller/main/install.sh)"
5. Start Discord after the installer has finished installing vencord
6. Check if activities work. You will notice that they do not, and instead give you a black screen on every activity.
7. Close discord again through the tray icon, make sure the process is gone
8. Open the vencord installer again and uninstall both OpenAsar and Vencord through it
9. Start discord back up once it has finished
10. You will notice errors popping up every now and then, and activities are still broken.

The only solution afterwards is reinstalling discord by running sudo pacman -S discord. I have freshly updated my system, but this was happening even before the update.

me personally I use "regex"-esque selectors, so like [class*=className] [class*=childObjectName]
so for example

Hello I'm having issues with installing vencord on arch linux xfce

When I run the installer it says permission denied and to run it as root

Doing that works but I guess it's not normal? Because when I install OpenAsar it doesn't have access to /opt/Discord directory as it's owned by root instead of the user so I feel like this might be a permission issue
