Swapped the internal ssd out for a different one, booted the secondary drive. Then removed it, booted main drive, booted into my linux dual boot and vesktop was white screened. It functioned prior to the swap

as of right now when you install vencord through firefox (userscript) there's a number of various issues and problems due to discord's Content Security Policy

this is a known issue and has been mentioned a couple times on the server (as stated here) and on the download page of the extension

i did some searching today and found out that the solution to this was actually quite simple and is something that's builtin to tampermonkey itself

instructions are as followed:

tamper monkey dashboard
settings (top right)
scroll to general set config mode: advanced
scroll down to security
add discord to blacklisted pages in the textbox

click save

reopen discord

previously broken functionalities like quickcss themes and plugin tools should now work as normal :)

Hi! Got a small issue with vesktop on all my windows11 machines since the latest electron update (1.5.3).
When i log in windows and vesktop automatically starts, its window position always resets to the center of the screen. I like having it in a corner so i reposition it. Then, closing and restarting vesktop keeps it in the same place until the next shutdown restart cycle.
Do you have any idea what could cause this? Vesktop itself or windows' window management not liking this update?

in servers you can use bots to fetch all messages

in dms you have to automate your user account which is against discord bot might lead to getting banned (and thus won't ever be added to vencord)

if it's only about your own messages, you can request your data package and it will contain the messages

It's a bit annoying that discord keeps uninstalling vencord, but that's probably the nature of the beast due to the way the app works so I figure there's no easy fix there from within vencord itself. An automated patching solution might work, however.

Hey hey! I maintain a "theme" for Discord that hides nitro/boost upsells. I currently work on it within Vesktop using the "quickcss" feature, then copy-paste it into a GitHub Gist and update it. However, I want to move it to a real repository. So, two questions:

1. Is there a good way to "redirect" people using my theme to a new URL? I am considering resorting to updating the Gist to disable the CSS and just insert a banner saying "we've moved, please update the URL" but maybe there's a better way that's less intrusive for folks?
2. Can I tell vesktop (on Linux) to load a theme from a local file? I'd like to edit it in vim and be able to run git commands directly on the file, rather than working in the quickcss window.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
