Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Your Discord seems to have installed in the wrong place. This could be due to a variety of issues.

To fix it, click the "Take me there!" button and follow the instructions in the dialog.

1. Make sure discord is fully closed in task manager

2. Press "take me there"

3. Make sure you are in the discord folder, if not, go there

4. ctrl+a and delete (aka, delete everything in the folder)

5. Go back a folder (outside of the discord folder, it'll either be ProgramData or your windows username)

6. Delete the discord folder

7. Now open discord

• If it works, cool, install vencord
• If not: reinstall discord, install vencord

I could use some assistance getting vencord to work on macOS (Ventura, Intel)

I tried a week or so ago, and it would just make discord corrupt, I followed some terminal commands to give system perms or something to it, but I can't remember which exactly.

a week or so later I tried again and it just makes discord try to update endlessly. I then have to reinstall discord for things to work against once more

To quickly find your chrome/firefox version for us to help, open the devtools/inspect element (usually ctrl + shift + i or Cmd + Option + i)

For the chrome extension, vencord only supports version 111 and above

I've had discord opening on startup disabled for as long as i can remember, however recently it has started to open on startup despite the setting being off. the plugin NewGuildSettings isnt working, i configured my desired settings, what i want muted etc, when i join a server right click it and apply the settings, it sticks for a second, then it undoes it all and all the muted notification settings are unchecked. i just updated vencord like a minute ago. and it didnt help to fix the plugin.

mobile push notifications is on by default when you join a server, i just tried unchecking that and re-applying the settings using the plugin, and it applied properly. is there a way to throw this info to the plugin creators to do soemthing about it not sticking because of one setting thats already on by default?

you might need to move up/down the treeview to get the exact thing you wanted, or an element that has an attribute you can use

Technically yes, we have a very barebones app for android: VendroidHowever, it suffers from many issues and thus is not recommended for daily use (nor is it actively being worked on)

Instead, we recommend the following alternatives:
