I have a small bug that i think might be related to messageClickActions plugin, whenever im typing a message and i press enter, it adds a space and the cursor goes to the other line, same as clicking shift + enter, so basically sometimes i have to press enter twice so i can actually send a message. Dont know if this is a known bug, but i didn't find anything similar.

The way the vencord repo is set up, there aren’t any new releases/tags. Any commits that are pushed to main are merged from dev branch, and those merges are our “releases”

and no they aren't just "new commits", they are new releases

vencord uses rolling release because we need to follow discord's pace

whenever discord pushes a change that breaks some vencord stuff, we fix it

if a user is annoyed about frequent updates they can just enable auto update (enabled by default) and disable update notifications

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Why do I get logged out after opening DevTools?

Discord tries to protect you from getting scammed by "hiding" your token when you open DevTools, which means it deletes it from storage and only keeps it in memory in order to make it harder to obtain.

If you now close discord before closing DevTools again, your token will not be saved anywhere anymore and as a consequence you will be logged out

Solution: Close DevTools before closing discord or better yet enable the NoDevtoolsWarning plugin which removes this "feature"

discord is currently loading on loop, after i've added a plugin in userplugins, yes userplugins is inside of src and not plugins, yes the folder is not empty and has a typescript, i re-build vencord after adding the plugin as stated in the guide
