it should be more easier to opt out of reviewdb, considering that you have to log in to your discord account from a random website (googling reviewdb gives you two websites, which one is it? trial and error if you don't notice one mentions "discord"), or have to use a "token" that isn't explained on the website, there's no easy direct link (iirc) from the plugin settings to the dashboard, and really you should probably be able to control opting in and out from the plugin settings

so yeah you can opt out of it but it's rather opaque

leaving that aside, the plugin has potential to be used for harassment and online bullying, there's a moderation feature but that's opaque too (who gets to review? what exactly is forbidden? how long should the review take?), there's no link on the website to a FAQ explaining it, (not to any legal thing for that matter)

so i personally think ven made the right call axing the plugin (again)

1: you are logging in with discord oauth which tells you that I can not access anything other than your public information, there isnt any other way to know you are the person otherwise.
2: Discord itself has potential for harrasment and online bullying, do you think reviewdb is the problem here. Anyone can create a random account and tell all the bad things to that person in a server or dms if they are open.
2:1:What exactly forbidden is just prely common sense as long as you dont put really dumb stuff or really harrass someone we dont ban anyone (10% of people fail that)

you know that annoying feature where if you talk in vc for longer than 3 minutes it pauses ur spotify? to pause songs you need premium api, so spotify just whitelisted discord's token to have full premium api access

you could just use discords spotify token in your own app if you wanted

@trim field responding to your question you put in general chat, i don't think anyone responded so i think i figured it out.

if you ever were a mod for a server where you were able to edit channel permissions, you may of tried to do something accidentally like removing your own permission to view said channel which would result in an error saying "Pretty sure you don't want to do this" but the PermissionFreeWill plugin removes that restriction.

Yeah, I would greatly appreciate it. I tried looking at the source myself, I'm relatively new to vencord so I don't know anything the ecosystem but to my understanding, it sets the date to the user subText which I assume is the hover tooltip on the user? But there is none so I'm probably wrong about it.

no, i think you’d typically create a new element (“div”) of its own, with its own class(es), which can be styled by #🎨-css-snippets .
Inspecting element was a good idea tho, in case the data is there and just hidden, which we could easily fix with a css snippet. So i also checked the DOM (basically the source code of the webpage) of that element but no date there.

This isn't really a support question but I was wondering how Vesktop compares to a typical Discord instance with Vencord injected manually?

More so, are there any benefits to using Vesktop directly?

generally faster/snappier/more responsive and won't crash after a while from running out of memory (2gb+, although i think discord is also moving away from 32bit so that shouldn't be a problem either in the future)

although if you care about screensharing that's way more limited on vesktop so i wouldn't recommend it for that, or global keybinds which aren't implemented
