Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.
However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!
Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe
Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

something out of the many plugins i have enabled is causing this to appear and for unreads in channels to not display on the server in my list or in channels almost as if to suppress them unless i have a ping or "all notifications" enabled for the channel and i can't for the life of me figure out what it's from.. but it's extremely frustrating
and i don't have any unusual notification overrides in any of the channels or servers it's happening with
example:
notice how there's no unread indicator on the server in my list but there are channels that have unreads but they almost look suppressed in a way with a darkened, non-white color, also with that message notification bar at the top of the channel when inside it

This message is misleading. Run sudo chown -R "${USER}:wheel" /Applications/Discord.app in your terminal, then run the installer again afterwards.

Hello, guys. When I opened vesktop(on windows) today, it wasn't showing the theme despite it being on in settings. I then figured out it had something to do with update so I clicked on "Update vencord" from the tray icon because of the announcements. However, the theme still didn't work. I then saw that it was still showing an update available in the settings, so when I updated through either that or through the "Vencord has been updated. Click here to restart" notification, it closed and opened but logged me out. I installed latest release from github and installed that but still the theme isn't working. I tried two themes and both didn't work. Can anyone help me please?
