if the ctrl + shift + i keybind doesn't work, it's likely because a different program conflicts with the keybind. This is most commonly the AMD Radeon Software. If you have that, disable keybinds in it (see the video below)

Hi! I've been trying to install Vencord on my Macbook and it keeps coming up with the message of

This message is misleading. Run sudo chown -R "${USER}:wheel" /Applications/Discord.app in your terminal, then run the installer again afterwards.

You may also need to grant Terminal.app (and friends) full disk access for the operation to work properly.

Hey guys, I have an issue with vencord.
When i update, my keyboard starts to have a problem which i call "sleeping". If I'm not typing for, for example, 15 seconds, and then start typing, keyboard starts type only after second or two. And staff which i wrote while it was sleeping doesn't output at all. Usually, basic going to windows safe mode and coming back fixes the problem, but then vencord either is not updated, or not here at all.
I already had similar issue 2 month ago, and the problem was in discord autostarter. After finding it out, i just placed discord shortcut in autostart, so each time, opens not basic background activity, but the entire app (yea, that's annoying, but idk what can i do)
So it's issue with vencord OR with discord (last is most likely)

Hmm... I actualy just tried uninstalling Vencord and then even Discord, but still no success. So I must assume it's something either with Discord or with my specific setup

Actually managed to solve it in the stupidest way ever. By opening devtools (CTRL + SHIFT + I) and navigating to Application > Local Storage and finding and deleting the OverlayStore3 key I was able to reset the configuration for the overlay and and fix it. Utterly idiotic, but it worked!

I'm trying to enable cloud sync, but whenever I click on the checkbox I get this Setup failed oauth message, and it turns itself off. I also get this message on the console:

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

i dont think its being actively worked on but its definitely on our minds

i think the reason it was initially made like that is because plugins have to be loaded before any discord code loads because of the patch system

current best ways to learn i think are: the docs folder in the repo, reading the code of existing plugins to see how they work, and trying a simple idea out yourself. basic javascript knowledge is kinda required, if u need help writing a plugin u can always ask in #🧩-plugin-development

Hello, good evening. I wanted to know how to report a bug in a plugin. It's something small and it's a visual thingy.

What happens is that with the NoSystemBadge plugin, the Discord icon in the little arrow on the bar remains normal even if we are connected to a voice channel. I mean: without the plugin, when you are connected, a green circle appears instead of the Discord logo, but with the plugin, even though you are connected to a voice channel, the green circle does not appear. Also the same thing happens with the microphone when you mute yourself, or the headset when you are deafened. I attach a photo:

It is a small error, but not seeing that logo goes unnoticed if we are connected to a channel and we forget, I am usually always connected to a voice channel and I forget it, etc.

I installed the plugin to get the unread message count, which is its function, but that's all it does. That's why I understand that modifying the icon is a mistake. This is the description: Disables the taskbar and system tray unread count badge.

could add a toggle for each if u want
but if you just want to remove unread badge, u can do it in discord settings > notifications

also that plugin was made very long ago, when vencord was just a month old
