Hi! I hope im following #faq , im just gonna try describing this in a non-stupid way

I tried downloading vencord (mac), and i opened everything, clicked everything i needed to, but it never showed up on my discord settings. I tried again, restarted everything, and downloaded it again. Just like the first time, no success. I even tried deleting and redownloading discord. Whenever i do so, it says it works, i follow the instructions- i reset discord, and nothing shows up.

am i doing something wrong? (sorry if i did)

You should
1 close discord from the icon in the taskbar
2 open the vencord installer
3 press the right installation from discord if it hasn't been selected yet
4 press install (install openasar as well because why not)
5 then open discord and see if the vencord tab is shown in settings
Extra info: betterdiscord is NOT compatible with Vencord and trying to install vencord onto betterdiscord probably means it will not work

After you clicked install in the installer the installation (words) should say [patched] after it

It will- disable custom css (you can turn it back on in Vencord Settings)- copy your current theme links to your clipboard as a backup- remove all themes

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Need some help here because I went to update vencord and when I did my discord just kind of broke, it did update (i assume) but then it asked me to log into discord so I did and when I checked the settings vencord wasnt there and apparently its no longer the desktop version either.

open the dev tools with CTRL + Shift + i and click on the "console" tab at the top. Then paste and run (with enter) the following code.

It will- disable custom css (you can turn it back on in Vencord Settings)- copy your current theme links to your clipboard as a backup- remove all themes

Hello support. Vencord stopped working for me today. When i opened discord it got stuck on 'Starting...'. When i restarted my computer i had the same issue. i figured that vencord could be causing it so i uninstalled it and discord launched fine. I reinstalled vencord hoping that it would work but i does not show up on discord. i tried reinstalling it several times and everything is up to date.

The easiest & fastest solution to most issues is to just reinstalll / repair Vencord using the installer. Don't worry, you won't lose your settings! They'll all be there like nothing happened once you're back
