Hello there, I installed vencord and enabled few plugins, pressed on restart discord button and now my pc is freezing

I can't even run the .exe to uninstal vencord

Now the installer is open, I pressed on uninstall and the app is not responding

that's not how it works
there's 2 ways of doing it:

1. pasting the theme's link in the themes section (you have instructions on how to do that there)
2. pasting the content of the theme in settings -> vencord -> "Open QuickCSS"

yeah the script deletes the CLI after it's done, since you reran the script it redownloaded itself and ran the correct argument.

but it's updated so you should be good to go

i open discord, and yknow that after it gives you the small tiny window of 'checking for updates', it opens a bigger window, which appears gray before the spinning logo appears and it finishes loading, yea?

Will I get banned for using Vencord? Will plugin X get me banned?

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

as for the windows defender warning

If you get a warning that the app cannot be opened, click "Run Anyways". You may need to click "more info" to see this option.

This warning is entirely harmless and only shows because the app is not signed. Signing it would cost us upwards of 300€/year.

Made a clean reinstallation, purged all my old settings, and yeah, still can reproduce it. It saves the settings, but nevertheless, it never minimizes to the tray, always closes the application.

Weird, all other settings work, just not the minimize to tray one.

How to Enable DevTools (Windows)

1. Navigate to
   %appdata%/discord/settings.json

2. Paste in the line, making sure to add a comma to the line before:
   "DANGEROUS_ENABLE_DEVTOOLS_ONLY_ENABLE_IF_YOU_KNOW_WHAT_YOURE_DOING": true
   (should look something like this) #🏥-vencord-support-🏥 message

3. Save & Close and relaunch discord!

You should be able to open the console using CTRL + Shift + i)

github has it's own 5 minute cache

you can either force a refresh by adding a query parameter to the url, or just use quickcss (Settings -> Vencord -> Open QuickCSS)

Hi I'm trying to setup the CustomRPC to work and having issues with it. On my side it looks like it works, but when I look at my account from an alt nothing shows up. Any help would be great

i mean if you wanna try something really fast just toggle it off and on and ctrl+r

or use the vencord -> restart client to restart instead
