I don't think anyone pointed this out, but on Discord's new desktop redesign you can choose the dark theme you want to have synced to dark mode (ex. dark mode turns on Midnight)

It isn't a bug, you can see the sync button stays the same color when a nitro theme is used or the client is refreshed
