but quick tl:dr, the game is set in the future, approx. 22nd century. most people secluded themselves from reality (called meatspace) and live in the digital space now. The game, the finals, is the largest in the digital space and is probably the most famous. Companies try to sponsor and get a part of the amount of views the game gets. There is a rouge collective trying to expose the atrocities committed by the sponsor while trying to get the people to "SEEK THE TRUTH BEYOND THE WALLS ". There also is an AI that controls the game (which could be partially sentient....?) and a company that wants more likes and views for the game.
The lore currently suggests there might be full blown sponsor wars soon so who knows and who knows whihc season and how far ofc, but it's my speculation ofc.

Scotty wants the truth. That's why he is paranoid of the CNS. 1:21 of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiLEkrJwnIE says "I seek the truth, beyond the walls". This is while June says, "If CNS wanted to earn real fame, they'd need to compete. Just like you Scotty". Though this says Hacked by CNS then says the truth beyond the wall thing, it makes no sense for June to through scotty into this.

Not long after that (2:16), June says VAIIAYA recommends just rebooting the system. Of course she's not happy about that, and Scotty wants to only do it as a last resort. Then cuts to CNS engaging a bunch of things to never let the game show reboot or shut down and writes something for external assistance that is available. The game show AI will fall into the hands of CNS which THE FINALS will no longer be THE FINALS.

And at 2:40, they have initiated neural pathways. Then 2:41, Lockdown Procedures was activated after an intrusion was detected.

After all of that, we got VAIIAY and CNS. More than likely showing that Multi Co. is not scared of there enemy, the CNS, they where able to pull more sponsor for it shows that CNS is an issue that they won:t let slide. Marcel has a plan for CNS.

a lot of people hate the healing gadgets, saying that they remove medium's identity. But i think that it reinforces the game's point. Every class can fill pretty much every role. lights can support, mediums can tank hits with gadgets and riot shield, and heavies can out-DPS the other team. The whole point of the game is for every class to be able to fill different roles.

From what I see from this teaser it looks pretty solid so far, it does beg the question though if we'll receive another Norse mythology skin or Viking skin and how it might tie into next season's theme either in the pass or item shop along with the heavy speculation if we'll have a medieval/norse location though since it's been talked about for a while now. I believe that's been solved a while back I think. Basicially it was hinting at some of the controversies and issues that Dissun, Vaiiya, and Ose-puze were under at the time. Ose-puze was highly addictive and had dangerous side-effects causing skin to peel off from what I remember, Dissun was responsible for allegations that involved human workers falling into one of the plants/chambers they used for energy and fuel production, and lastly Vaiiya was responsible for a calibration failure on one of their facial/neural implant chips that caused a contestant's conscious to be stuck in the VR world from my understanding. But again I'm just drawing from memory from what I saw and heard about a few weeks back after the lore video was released, but I hope this helps

This is my first time contributing here, so apologies for anything incorrect or already solved that i write. This is simply my take.
Regarding the connection of The Finals to ARC Raiders, i belive it to be valid. They most likely take place in the same universe
My theory is that, CNS were the original makers/developers of The Finals and MuCoDOS and MultiCo have somehow taken over their rights and claim it theirs.
They might have been partnered aswell OR they could also have been one collective with some developers leaving due to disputes and later forming CNS (Could be referencing DICE employees leaving and forming EMBARK)
Bringing in more companies as sponsors to squeeze as much money as they can out of the gameshow. Merciless Marcel's CLOSEST and first partner/sponsor being OSPUZE with Sofia Petronelle. The show becomes the most popular virtual gameshow on the planet as we know. Bringing in tons of $$$ and FUELING the GREED of Marcel and Sofia, with their economical growth and success dragging in other CEOs and their companies from all around the world. Blinded by money, the companies continue to build their empires, eventually making monopolies in their specific areas of products/services, with humanity becoming essentially dependant on them, their constant resource draining causing a global ecological collapse. (for example, in the "Three perfect frogs" video, ((LOL JUST AS I WAS FINISHING THIS SENTENCE, "LET THEM SQUAWK" DROPPED)) OSPUZE shortage caused people to go crazy and riot, DISSUN zones being uninhabited/uninhabitable and their own technicians frequently going missing, VAIIYA neural chips "malfunctions" possibly used to mind control/brainwash people).

NOW, since Let Them Squawk dropped right now, from what we can hear is Merciless Marcel himself seems to have watched Three Perfect Frogs along Scotty and June, analyzing the meaning. We can deduct from the video that the reason Marcel let CNS in in season 7 is that he wants to lure them in and see what they eventually do. I predict that, MOST LIKELY IN THE FINAL OF THE MAJOR, A MAJOR CNS INTERVENTION WILL HAPPEN AND WILL REVEAL THE TRUTH. Or at least part of it.

Back to connection to ARC Raiders then.

Let's just clear up the timeline, since i forgot to mention it. THE FINALS - around 2100, ARC RAIDERS - 2180

The collapse causes most of earth to become almost uninhabitable. Now, the CEOs of the sponsors, having saved up immense amounts of money, becoming the elite, (possibly all merging into one huge space company, clearing the footsteps they have done with their original companies that caused the collapse) have the privilege to create the "EXODUS" program, leaving the earth and possibly moving to another planet. Creating a second civilization, with which they would then recultivate earth and return. Now, most likely they want to clear ALL evidence of the global disaster that they have caused and avoid war with the people that they have so rudely left. So they build assault robots to clear the remaining humanity left still surviving on earth and having control of the FINALS AI, they reprogram it (most likely with VAIIYA technology) into "kill mode" and inject the machines that they send to rid the earth of remaining life with it.

The evidence that the universes are the same is factual, we have multiple sponsor logos scattered around ARC Raiders,
DISSUN and Alfa acta being the largest so far. There were also some minor sponsor logos spotted, which are Ranzio and Jiangsu Romagna.
More will most likely appear in time.

CNS know that this would happen and their goal is to most likely to prevent all of this.
That is why they want to take back control, or possibly, if the situation grows out of control. to make the FINALS AI self destruct.

In the ARC Raiders universe, they seem to have failed. And are possibly founders of the resistance and SPERANZA

The major players of the lore seem to have a lot of ties to Italy, Volpe meaning Fox in italian, Sofia Petronelle seems to be italian...
And we know that ARC Raiders' rust belt is in Italy.

The technology kept advancing in some ways but got stuck in 1982 in other ways - they invented flying cars and holographic girlfriends but somehow missed the Internet, an iphone or generally flat screens 😄

I mean it doesn't explain the question of why there is no broken AK laying somewhere in Arc Raiders sands and somehow its the default Medium gun in The Finals.. but its just an example of someone creating a world partially stuck in 1982 because "i said so"

Hey guys, after too long ive finally peaked my head in the discord to get caught up in the lore before the new season and noticed someone mentioned DEDE. There are somethings I want to bring up that I noticed awhile back that I just kind of sat on and didnt know what to do with. Sorry if this has already been talked about, like I said this is my first time actually looking around here. In DEDE bundle she has a briefcase charm that says "Whats inside? Some say secrets, others say success". She has an emote too that shows her "iconic" pose that says "This is what it looks like to make history. Dede-style" with her holding the exact same brief case. Also theres a sticker "See you ihn the finals xoxo Dede" with the description "This message can mean a lot of things-especially coming from Dede". The last thing isnt as relevant just weird. Season 5 when they had DISSUN as a sponsor, it had a helmet as the last item with the description "Rumor has it the method used to create this mask is a closely guarded secret, known only to Damien Vossler and his inner circle at DISSUN". And I am pretty sure that the Dede bundle came out around teh same time as season 5. Idk just thought I would put this out there because I dont know what this means. That dev referred to them as being part of the Embark universe, but they were part of the software engineering team, not part of the writing team. Honestly idk I've been playing since the beta and I slowed down since 3 and when I played the new season which was season 5 at the time in the mid season it would give me an error saying that I couldn't log in it was like error code 0013 or something it just said failed to log in no matter what I did I uninstalled it I reset my Xbox it wasn't working. I tried again in 6 didn't work tried again in 7 didn't work and I decided to try again when there were near 20 days left in the season and it finally let me in

To think that its simply reused assets for either would be a stretch considering how they're used specifically. June and Scotty when commentating, are always separated from each other as we see here with June communicating with scotty through the computer.
