This is going to sound a little crazy but I genuinely think there's a substantial amount of evidence that Arc Raiders and The Finals are lined up to be connected in someway. THIS IS ALL MAINLY SPECULATIVE AND COULD ALL BE VERY WRONG

This is the timeline I've gathered:

Late 1970s-2054: Start of the Age of Environmental Collapse (Pretty much whats happening right now IRL, Environment gets neglected by rich and powerful you know it)

2054: Start of Exodus (The rich and powerful flee earth, leaving everyone else behind, either on mars or orbital habitats. This is known from graffiti in the game stating "make room for everyone" and "Equality for all" on the spaceport map)

2054-2145/2155: The first "Arc Wave" happens (This is known by Celeste in the game who lost her family to the first wave and formed "The Raiders", before the wave humanity lived in camps on the surface, which also makes a significant plot point in Arc Raiders quest progression)

2180: Present day (Arc roam the surface collecting resources)

I think it's very possible given that huge time gap between this "Exodus" period and the first wave of Arc, they are human made There's even human writing on the machines themselves to very clearly be handled and transported by humans if need be.

The humans who left earth, probably are the same people who made Arc, and most likely the same people who created the Virtual World and The Finals. It's the only way I can imagine they survived in space that long, creating a virtual world for your space faring elites to entertain themselves for eternity, it's less resources to run since theres less need to spend any on commodities or as much on food if everyone spends their time in the virtual world, that's because the real world is living on a boring space station where everyone's packed tightly like sardines. That's why The Finals makes their recreations of real world places a major selling point of The Finals, because this society cant go back to them.

So they survived over a hundred years up there, evolving and probably expanding. Somewhere around 2145 they probably started running out of resources, hence why the Arc were created, why the Queen protects a "Harvester" thats actively sending resources and probes back into space. It's to fuel the rich and elite that live in Space while the unfortunate scavenge and tear each other apart on the surface, abandoned by their peers.

How do the sponsors tie into this? I'm not sure and Idk if Embark knows either. We've been told numerous times that The Sponsors play a huge role but we really haven't seen any substantial impact yet. My best guess is that many of Sponsors are likely responsible or at the very least fund the Arc Machines. CNS though, I can make a pretty good guess that they're Raiders back on earth, or actually just rebellious hacktivists who know the truth. "Seek the truth beyond the walls" it was so clear! There is no physical wall to seek past, the wall is lies.
If a space inhabiting civilization obtained their resources from what has essentially become a tomb world they willfully and knowingly kill and slaughter humans left behind so they can hog more resources for themselves, I think that would be a pretty heavy toll on anyone, so there's got to be some heavy propaganda going on for everyone to act like they're not aware of their reality. Theres enough space in the timeline here that someone could've grown up entirely in space off of Earth shaping their own society.

Okay that's it let me know if anything's wrong!

TLDR; The Finals is a gameshow in a high society of space inhabitants who abandoned Earth sometime in 2054 spending the majority of their lives in the Virtual World. The Arc was created roughly 100 years after The Exodus because they started to run low on resources, Raiders combat the Arc and CNS at the very least knows about what's really going on (they could be raiders or just hacktivists)

cause since the release of The Finals lets be real here, theres been no progress towards it's story and the CNS reveal in season 2 felt really early to be the big "Break outta the system" feel from the Matrix or even like Portal for example

that sense of "breaking out the simulation, learning the truth" cool factor just wasnt there or felt really early/underwhelming

a) Finals is a game people on earth play - in 2100, arc haven't invaded yet, and corporations still run some parts of the world, even from space. It's not apocalypse yet, but it's hard, and the only way to escape it is to immerse yourself in the matrix. When arc start invading, there is a technological collapse - that's why raiders use retro technology. All companies abandoned Earth after realising there's no more reason to try to appease to those people, and started an effort to kill off the remaining pleb.

b) Finals is a game people in space play - 2100 is the gilded age, the peak of social problems, arc starting invasions, yet people in space occupy themselves with video games. In 2180 however, there are more efforts to fight earthers, maybe for resources as those start to dwindle on wall-e esque Axiom ships, maybe for something else

1: We are getting another sys-horizon style map, with cherry trees, butterflies, and floating whales. (As shown in the latest lore video)
2: CNS will be an official sponsor for season 7. They said the show is missing a sponsor. The CNS video is apparently a commercial and an official part of the show. Some doors are left unlocked on purpose suggests CNS was allowed to hack the show on purpose because they didn’t have any other sponsor and it would be good for ratings.
3: Hydraq and Vaiiya are the other 2 sponsors for season 7, Hydraq being a rivalry drink company to ospuze. (Hydraq may not be a sponsor because of CNS)

Bonus: Vaiiya is making a robot of some kind, possibly called the x9800. It may be used to protect the show from the inside against CNS.

But in Arc, there are still 60-80s PCs everywhere. It doesn't feel like Arc invaded and technology stopped progressing/we lost access to resources, the whole world was already technologically inferior. Unless they stretch it to somehow "Italy didn't progress past the 70s" it feels kind of weak

Even if Finals is a vr game for the rich, technology must've evolved like in our world, and arc doesn't seem to reflect that. It's more akin to how Fallout had nukes drop in the 50/60s and the world stopped at the retro futuristic stage.

I don't think we know what "S Lies" means yet although I could be wrong. The theory has been that it's "Sophia lies" as in the Ospuze CEO, but I'm starting to think it could also be referring to "Sal Scoria Lies" (even though that's two S's). Sal Scoria is the CEO of Vaiiya, and the new season is focused on CNS trying to reveal the lies of Vaiiya. It's possible that, lore-wise, the binary we found that says "S lies" was put there by CNS as a way to further emphasize that Vaiiya (and Sal Scoria) are lying.

My guess is that "S lies" is a hint towards Vaiiya's overARChing plan. Maybe if Vaiiya wins this conflict we see the beginning of the Arc Raiders timeline. Sal Scoria looks a lot like the Arcs, and the new trailer showed them assembling humanoid robots, so it's not a stretch to guess that Sal Scoria had something to do with the creation of the Arcs, and that his "lie" is that his priorities are protecting humanity.

I'm not sure how much the Arc Raiders community has put together about the games lore. There might already be enough contradicting lore to completely invalidate this theory.

I'm really fresh into the lore, I know the basic rundown but I have a theory and would love for people more knowledgeable to see it and do what they want with it. I think that "cns" is some form of the AI that runs the finals gameshow, the one referenced when vaiiya went to shut the finals down and it retaliated. what if the "we will retake what is ours" line is more literal than we think? what if this is some rogue form of the AI trying to take its game back? it would make sense with how seemingly easy they have been able to access any of the things they need to make their changes in game.

I think the "see beyond the wall" statement is referring to a metaphysical wall like a prison for "cns".

also from my understanding CNS stands for central nervous system right? so it makes me wonder if it really is the central nervous system, of the finals as a whole.

would love to hear some thoughts and discussions about this if this hasn't already been said before!

This bit from the latest teaser could be an interesting way to say that the AI is implementing its own ideas. Why are they majorly glitchy though? Maybe the AI is being restrained and that's why it can't conjure fully fleshed out things?

thats what I think, I think the "wall" is preventing CNS from doing more than they currently are. or maybe to add more credence to my theory, it's just an inferior older version of the same AI meaning it cant make stuff without its system glitching. orrr the AI itself is splitting. I mean it retaliated to being shut down, same as CNS retaliates. maybe they're trapped within this newer AI and vying for control? not sure, I'd have to read up on everything cns related to say for sure

also the only reason I say that is possible is because Scotty's line "volpes tech let them in", which could also mean their tech was a bit too connected to the finals and let hackers in but it works both ways

also idk if this is true but is the current game we're playing the second iteration of the finals? I don't know if that was related to the s3 shutdown or way before. but a first iteration trying to come back is a neat story.

the S3 shutdown did not lead to a second iteration of The Finals. However, the CNS party keeps hinting to a previous time of The Finals show, where, it seems, it was a much more "friendly" or shall I say "honest" game. So, it looks like The Finals started as a very legal/honest game show before transforming into a tool for commercial benefits and crowd control once it was taken over by MultiCo, which incorporates all (not sure about Alfa Acta) the sponsors we've seen till now.
After a recent cinematic, it seems that Hydra will be a sponsor that comes from outside MultiCo, pushed in by CNS, and, for some reason, Marcel (someone with great influence at MultiCo) is okay in letting that infiltration happen, seemingly having secret intentions.
